LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The stars are going all-out this spooky season, from Anne Hathaway's embodiment of a dad joke to Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's debut couples costume as Alice and the Mad Hatter.

A-listers also participated in extensive photo shoots to accompany their costumes. Janelle Monae, for instance, transformed herself into the alien ET from Steven Spielberg's iconic 1982 movie, unveiling the look on her Instagram and 'The Jennifer Hudson Show'.

Selena Gomez wore a blonde wig and a light blue dress to channel Alice, while Benny Blanco opted for full makeup as Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter from Tim Burton's 2010 film adaptation of Lewis Carroll's novel, as per Billboard. The 'Only Murders in the Building' actress captioned the Instagram gallery, "Curiouser and curiouser.."

The couple's Instagram Stories also featured additional photos of their amazing dream attire. Gomez shared a clip from Disney's 1951 animated version of 'Alice in Wonderland', which seemed to have been the main inspiration behind her costume.

The 28-year-old had two toy guns strapped to each hip of a sleek, sensual leather bodysuit in the pictures. The outfit included knee-high black boots, matching black gloves, and a belt with a glittering gold clasp. The shorts and zipper accentuated her form with a plunging neckline.

A recent 'South Park' special episode served as the inspiration for Lizzo's "LizzOzempic" Halloween costume. The singer posted a fictitious advertisement of herself with a hypothetical prescription box for a weight-loss medication, saying, "Ok Halloween… you can start now."

The 'South Park' episode title, 'The End of Obesity', which aired in May, humorously criticized the Ozempic craze by substituting Lizzo for the well-known drug.

Lizzo responded to 'South Park' by dancing to the show's jingle and turning off the camera in another post displaying the Halloween costume. She captioned the Instagram video, which had a cutout of Eric Cartman in the background, "Oh OH oh… it’s Lizzo b—."

Jenner wore a short metal mesh top, a red thong, and a shredded white body stocking for the first of her three Barbarella-inspired ensembles. Her second costume was a black-and-white fur outfit, replete with a tail, that was identical to Barbarella's.

In the comments section of Megan's Instagram post, Gunn referred to her transformation into Starfire as "incredible," and on Threads, added, "Whoa. Cool." Megan's love for her Starfire look was not surprising, as she frequently cosplays her favorite anime and comic book heroes.

In the third annual Halloween episode of 'The Jennifer Hudson Show', the EGOT winner assumed the role of the "Queen of the Night," a character popularized by Houston in the song of the same name and the movie 'The Bodyguard', as per People.

Hudson appeared to be an exact replica of the late artist, sporting a futuristic outfit reminiscent of the one Houston wore in the 1992 movie and music video from 1993.

The metallic bustier, beaded yoke, and chain skirt of the performance ensemble, as well as Hudson's black hair, silver headpiece, studded black gloves, black leggings, and thigh-high leather boots, were all expertly replicated.
