Kelly Rowland was the latest celebrity to make headlines about a red carpet meltdown as she lost her calm on Tuesday, May 21, while attending the Cannes Film Festival. The former Destiny's Child member apparently got into a verbal altercation with the security while at the premiere of the French film 'Marcello Mio'. Let's take this opportunity to recall eight oddball red-carpet moments that left everyone baffled.

1. Mariah Carey's eccentric demands

According to an article by the Independent, in 2005, Mariah Carey arrived at a Knightsbridge hotel expecting a red carpet to be rolled out for her. On her way to promote a new record, Carey got out of her limo and onto a soft carpet decorated with two-foot-tall white candles, instead of walking onto the black marble paving. Furthermore, the singer made reservations for a whopping 15 rooms—which may have cost up to $2,548 (approximately £2,000) per night—at the five-star Baglioni hotel for six days.

The model, who wore a gorgeous white jumpsuit, was seen pushing an assistant off the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to get a good photo. Despite facing intense backlash, Jenner denied pushing the security guy, and one of her spokespersons said, "This is absolutely false. Kendall did not push anyone. She simply put her hand up so she was not stepped on," as per Daily Mail.

A "grumpy" Hugh Grant rolled his eyes and shut down Ashley Graham in a viral red carpet interview at the 95th Annual Academy Awards. As the unamused actor arrived at the opulent Los Angeles gathering, he made it clear that he wasn't keen on the model's inquiries. The interaction left viewers with a sour taste, but many praised Graham on how she handled the tough situation, which was described as "the worst" since Will Smith's slapping incident involving Chris Rock. Talking about the interview with TMZ, Graham said, "You know what, my mama told me to kill people with kindness, so there you go."

Actress Amy Schumer shoved herself in front of Kim Kardashian and Kayne West on the red carpet at the 2015 Time 100 Gala in New York City. Wearing a dark blue silk gown, the comedian dipped directly in front of one of the most influential couples in Hollywood at the time—the now-divorced pair. However, West and Kardashian remained unperturbed despite Schumer's attempt to incite a reaction. In a later interview with Graham Norton, Schumer stated, "[I saw] Kim and Kanye standing there, just owning it, just being short and important. And I think falling is the funniest thing, so I took a dive in front of them. He did not crack a smile at any point."

The rapper-designer reportedly lost it when a female reporter brought up the dispute involving his wife, Kardashian, and actor Tyson Beckford. He allegedly informed the event's PR crew, "Ralph Lauren would be disappointed to have a journalist ask me questions like this at his show. Either she leaves or me, you decide."

Joan and Melissa Rivers were one of the funniest and most formidable mother-daughter pairs in Hollywood for a long time. When the duo spotted actress Nicole Kidman at the 1997 Oscars, walking the red carpet in a green silk sheath dress designed by John Galliano for Dior, Joan exclaimed in front of everyone, "What an ugly dress!" as per the Los Angeles Times. Senior style writer Merle Ginsberg of The Hollywood Reporter claimed that Kidman casually brushed past her, which only served to inflame Joan's fury.
