NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former Fox News star Megyn Kelly recently talked about Oprah Winfrey’s impressive weight loss after the legendary TV star admitted to using an Ozempic-type weight loss drug to get in shape.

Notably, the "queen of the daytime show" recently graced a red carpet for her movie 'The Color Purple', turning heads with her slim figure in a bright purple dress.

During her show with The Free Press CEO Bari Weiss, Kelly pondered on Winfrey's brand-new appearance and noted that even though she doesn’t see eye to eye with her on many topics, she’s glad to see the TV star being honest about her use of the weight loss medication.

Oprah Winfrey embraces using weight loss drugs to achieve her new look

Winfrey shook the entertainment world when she turned up at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Gala in a form-fitting sequined gown that showed off her noticeably slimmer physique.

This was followed up by another appearance at the world premiere of 'The Color Purple'.

In a cover story for PEOPLE Magazine, Winfrey revealed that she is taking weight loss medication, noting that her opinion on the use of drugs has changed over the summer after she filmed a panel discussion with weight loss experts.

She said she uses it "as I feel I need it" in conjunction with "the WeightWatchers principles of counting points" (she owns a stake in the company) and exercise.

Megyn Kelly calls Oprah Winfrey’s admission to use of Ozempic-type drug 'a rare win'

On her show, Kelly invited Weiss, and they discussed Winfrey admitting to the use of a weight loss drug.

Weiss was particularly glad to hear the TV show using the weight loss drug and said, "Good for Oprah. It's unbelievably effective." Kelly agreed that she is now helping to remove the "stigma" looming over the medications.

Kelly continued, "All these Real Housewives [stars] who deny that they’re on it… are the ones who are attaching the shame to it. Oprah didn’t help by sort of saying it’s cheating… It’s a drug that helps people control their appetite. How is that cheating?"

She called it a "rare win" for the legendary star but noted, "I’m against her for all sorts of reasons, but I’m also against obesity." Kelly concluded, "If you are [obese], you can look into one of these medications, or intermittent fasting, or whatever works for you."
