Alec Baldwin breaks down over 'Rust' shooting in first look of 'The Baldwins': 'We have had bad moments'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin, along with their seven children, take center stage in TLC's new reality series 'The Baldwins.'
The show trailer released by TLC on Monday, January 27, offers an intimate look into their family as it also addresses the lingering impact of the tragedy involving cinematographer Halyna Hutchins during the filming of 'Rust.'
Hilaria and Alec Baldwin's 'wild family'
The official trailer begins with Hilaria Baldwin, 44, describing their home life, saying, “Seven children, six animals, and two parents. A wild family.”
Moments later, the tone shifts as the family acknowledges the 'Rust' shooting incident.
“A son lost his mom in the most unthinkable tragedy,” Hilaria states in the trailer, referring to the death of Halyna Hutchins.

She added, “This is never something to forget and we are trying to parent through it.” Clips show tender family moments as Alec Baldwin breaks down in a confessional.
“Honestly from the bottom of my soul, I don’t know where I would be if I didn’t have you and these kids,” Alec says while expressing gratitude to his wife and children.
Hilaria Baldwin reflects on the family's 'bad moments' in the series trailer
Alec Baldwin was charged with involuntary manslaughter in January 2023 after the accidental death of Halyna Hutchins in 2021. He was holding the prop gun when it fired and killed Hutchins, 44.
He pleaded not guilty and the charges were dismissed in April 2023.
However, prosecutors later indicted him again before dropping the case in December 2024, following allegations of mishandled evidence by Baldwin’s attorneys.
“We have had bad moments but we found our foundation. We are solid and we are here together,” Hilaria shares in the trailer as family scenes of the children playing outdoors and Alec attending therapy unfolds.

Alec Baldwin is also a father to Ireland Baldwin, 29, from his previous marriage to Kim Basinger.

In a joint statement, Alec and Hilaria Baldwin said, “This series gives viewers a glimpse into our lives as a family — the good, bad, wild, and everything in between. We hope viewers will connect with our experiences and the love we share," People reported.
The trailer concludes with Hilaria Baldwin’s voiceover, “We’ve had bad moments, but we found our foundation... we’re solid and we’re here together.”
