Alec Baldwin gets a crash course in 'Gen Alpha slang' from 11-year-old daughter Carmen

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Alec Baldwin is proving that he is ready to learn new things from his young children.
In an exclusive clip from the upcoming episode of 'The Baldwins', shared with Access Hollywood, the 66-year-old actor sits down with his 11-year-old daughter Carmen for a lesson in Gen Alpha slang.
Alec Baldwin tries to decode modern slang
Before testing her father Baldwin's knowledge, Carmen announced, “Hey y’all! Today we’re going to be doing my dad’s slang words, even though he is somebody who doesn’t really use that much Gen Alpha slang.”
The father-daughter exchange kicks off with Carmen asking Baldwin the meaning of “ick” and gives a solid attempt, “Gross.”
“Kind of,” Carmen says, before explaining, “Ick kind of means red flag.”
Next, she moves on to “Sigma v. Beta.”
“They’re numbers in the Greek alphabet. Alpha, beta…” Baldwin said, trailing off.
“No,” Carmen corrects, saying, “‘Sigma’ means like good and ‘Beta’ means like bad.”
Baldwin takes the lesson in stride, joking, “This has been the most informative day of my life, by the way. It’s amazing.”

Carmen continues to quiz her father, asking him to define “spill the tea,” which he correctly identifies as “Tell us the truth!”
However, when asked about the meaning of “cap,” Baldwin veers off course.
“You pooped in your pants? You capped your pants?” he jokes, leaving Carmen laughing as she clarifies, “No, it means lie.”
The lesson continues with “simp,” which Baldwin incorrectly assumes means “stupid.”
Carmen corrects him, “It basically means if there’s a girl, you’re simping over her.”
She even shares a fun fact about her brother’s celebrity crush, saying “My brother’s celebrity crush is Jenna Ortega. So Jenna? My brother loves ya.”

Determined to put his newfound knowledge to use, Baldwin jokingly attempts his own slang sentence, “Ship me to cap you, simp.”
His daughter is unimpressed.
“Does it work? No?” he asks, to which Carmen simply shakes her head.
Carmen then throws one last term at her father, “gyatt.”
“It means your giant butt,” Baldwin replies confidently.
“Exactly! It’s a big, bodacious gyatt,” Carmen affirms, giving her father some much-needed slang credit.
Wrapping up the hilarious father-daughter moment, Baldwin claps and thanks his daughter for the lesson.
“Alright, that’s exciting. Thank you so much. That’s been fantastic. Thank you so much, Carmen,” said Baldwin, according to People.
