Alexia Nepola breaks silence after her divorce, says fans' love and support 'has truly warmed my heart'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Alexia Nepola has thanked her fans for all the “love and support” after her divorce.

The 'Real Housewives of Miami' star issued a second statement about now-estranged husband Todd Nepola’s decision to end their marriage, writing on her Instagram Story on Wednesday, April 17, “The outpouring [of] love and support that I have received from all of you has truly warmed my heart." 

“Thank you ❤️,” she added, according to PageSix. “❤️Love you all ❤️”

When did Alexia Nepola file for divorce?

The real estate broker filed for divorce from Alexia on April 11 in a Miami court, stating in legal documents that their marriage was “irretrievably broken.” According to the documents, Alexia, 56, and Todd, 51, signed a prenuptial agreement on December 10, 2021, just six days before they got married. The details of the prenup remain confidential.

Alexia and Todd met in 2017 and two years later, the pair got engaged in 2019. They tied the knot on December 16, 2021. At the time, the 'Bravo' star took to Instagram to announce her marriage as she posted her wedding picture.

"This year has been a whirlwind, to say the least, but finishing it off as Mr & Mrs gives me hope for the years to come. Thank you all for your kind wishes and love. 12.16.21," she wrote.

Alexia Nepola spoke about the split on social media

The reality TV star has yet to respond legally to Todd’s divorce petition, but she spoke out on social media about the surprising split earlier this week.

“I am shocked and heartbroken that Todd has chosen to dissolve our marriage. I will take comfort in the fact that my friends and family will be by side supporting me during this difficult time,” she wrote on Instagram at the time, adding “I’m praying for better times ahead.”

Todd has yet to speak about the split, but Alexia’s co-star Marysol Patton said she was “completely taken by surprise” over the latest 'Real Housewives' split. “We’re all a little shocked and it’s not a good day for her to be here and participate,” Patton said on Monday’s episode (April 15) of her and Alexia’s 'Ay Por Favor' podcast.

“What can I say? I am completely taken by surprise. I mean, I didn’t see this coming. It rips my heart apart because I can only put myself in her shoes and know how hard this must be for her,” she said. The 57-year-old called the divorce a “big cold dose of reality” which made her realize that “things don’t always turn out the way we had planned.”
