LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘The View’ co-hosts Alyssa Farah Griffin and Joy Behar left the audience shocked as they locked horns over President Donald Trump and his predecessor Joe Biden.

The Friday, May 16, episode of the ABC show reportedly involved a discussion around a new book — ‘Original Sin: President Biden's Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again’, that explores the circumstances of Biden's exit from the 2024 presidential election.

During the talk show, Griffin claimed that the drama surrounding Biden's alleged health issues amid the 2024 election could have been avoided if the Democrats had been truthful about it.

The former White House director of strategic communications and assistant said, as per OK! Magazine, “Seventy-seven percent of Americans in 2023 said Joe Biden was too old to run again, and they were told, 'Sit down, shut up, he is the nominee.’”

Alyssa Farah Griffin questions Joe Biden’s viability as a 2024 contender

“Then when it became untenable and he stepped aside, they anointed Kamala Harris. There was not a primary, there was not a Democratic process, and then when she lost they said, ‘Don’t look backward, we’re moving forward. We’re not going to talk about why we didn’t listen to you,’” she stated.

Amid this, Behar began to slam Trump, which angered the 35-year-old as she said, “Does that give you confidence in the middle of the night, if China is about to attack us, there's a war breaking out in Iran, that [Biden] is the sharpest person to handle that?”

“Wait a second, which administration texted war plans to their brother?" Behar asked, referencing Signalgate.

Alyssa Farah Griffin says we shouldn’t ‘keep lowering the bar because Trump is bad’

Though Alyssa Farah Griffin noted that it was “the Trump [administration],” she further said, “But do we just keep lowering the bar because Trump is bad? Nothing else is bad because Trump is bad?”

Behar then mentioned, “The ship has sailed. It’s out in the ocean somewhere with Biden. It’s over. Get over it.”

But the political strategist was not in a mood of backing out as she asserted, “No, we have Trump because you guys screwed this up!” as people present in the studio gasped.

The 82-year-old then responded, “Alright, but does it help to just keep going over the same material about Biden over and over again? I mean, really.”

This prompted Sunny Hostin to say, “I actually think we have Trump because Trump lied to people. I think that’s why we have Trump.”

Netizens say ‘The View’ should be renamed ‘The Vile’

Meanwhile, people online have reacted to the whole fiasco and slammed 'The View' hosts.

An X user said, “This opinion panel should be called The Vile.”

Another X user commented, “It’s literally their job to sit there and spew lies. Serious question… Is it deliberate or are they that stupid?”
