Amber Heard 'delighted' to be expecting second child amid private new life in Spain
MADRID, SPAIN: Amber Heard is expecting her second child, three years after welcoming her daughter Oonagh Paige via surrogate.
The 'Aquaman' star is thrilled to expand her family but is keeping details private at this early stage.
Amber Heard 'delighted' to be expecting second child
A representative for Amber Heard shared the news with People, saying, "It is still quite early in the pregnancy, so you will appreciate that we do not want to go into much detail at this stage."
"Suffice to say that Amber is delighted both for herself and Oonagh Paige," the rep said.
Heard became a mother on April 8, 2021, when she welcomed Oonagh Paige via surrogate, though she announced the news three months later.
Reflecting on her journey to motherhood, she wrote on Instagram at the time that she decided to have a child on her terms four years prior.
"I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way," she said.

She also expressed hopes for societal progress, stating, "I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib." Heard has continued to share updates about her life as a mother since Oonagh’s birth.
Amber Heard relocated to Spain after Johnny Depp trial
Previously married to Johnny Depp, Amber Heard endured a widely publicized defamation trial in Virginia during the summer of 2022.
After the trial concluded, Heard moved to Madrid, Spain, seeking a quieter life. "The trial was beyond stressful, and she wanted to start fresh," a source told People.
In a June 2022 interview after the verdict, Heard expressed relief about focusing on her family, saying, "I get to be a mom, like, full time, you know? Where I'm not having to juggle calls with lawyers."
Depp addressed the aftermath of the trial during a press conference at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, saying, "Do I feel boycotted now? No, not at all. But I don't feel boycotted by Hollywood because I don't think about it," Variety noted.
Amber Heard praised for her dedication to her daughter
Amber Heard is reportedly single following her split from Depp, and it remains unclear if her second child is being welcomed with a partner or via surrogate, Daily Mail noted.
In 2023, director Conor Allyn, who worked with Heard on the thriller 'In the Fire', described her life in Spain, saying she is "living her best life in Spain with her daughter and just finding happiness in that way."
He praised her commitment to motherhood, adding, "She is such a dedicated mom" and "really good about making the time" for Oonagh Paige.
