Amy Robach and TJ Holmes’ reveal they are 'taking things slowly' with each other’s children
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Amy Robach and TJ Holmes have revealed how their children are coping with their new romance.
The former ABC co-hosts, who started dating after being friends for years, said that their children had to adjust to seeing them in a different light.

The couple, who both have children from previous marriages, shared some details about their blended family on their 'Amy & TJ Podcast.'
They said that their children had known each other and their new partners for a long time, but they still faced some challenges.
“They were just friends,” Robach, 50, who has two daughters, Ava and Annalise, with ex-husband Tim McIntosh, said.
“So as tough as it has been for so many people in our lives, it’s the most difficult for them because now they’re having to look at us in a different way with one another," PageSix reported.

Robach added that she and Holmes, 46, who has a 10-year-old daughter, Sabine, with ex-wife Marilee Fiebig, have been “very thoughtful” and “very patient” while “taking things slowly” with the children.
“But things are good,” she said, adding “They’re peaceful. We want to continue to build on that.”
Holmes also gave some rare insight into how his little one is coping with his new girlfriend.
He said that Sabine has known Robach since she was one and now she’s getting to know her in a different role.“My little one has known Robach since she was one and now she’s knowing Robach in a different way in a different role, but it’s been the greatest,” he said, adding that he lets the preteen “guide” the dynamic.
Holmes said "mature” Sabine has a desire to do these things and either “absolutely giving the OK” to see his girlfriend or “in most cases … requesting” time together.
He said it’s been “one of the most touching things recently” to see how she wants to be “apart and included and enjoys the time with us.”
Amy Robach and TJ Holmes are enjoying their 'private time'
The couple, who launched their podcast earlier this month on the anniversary of their ABC departure, also joked that they now desire more “private time” together. They defended their “handsy” red carpet debut as a couple, which they made last week.
“We’re in love. We’re happy. I don’t know how else to act,” Robach said, although Holmes admitted to a “bad habit” of his “hand end[ing] up lower than [her] waist.”
The duo said they are grateful for their fans’ support and looking forward to the future. “We’re happy. We’re in a good place. And we hope you are too,” Robach added.
