WASHINGTON, DC: ‘The View’ co-host Ana Navarro has expressed her anger at Donald Trump after the president did a press conference following the fatal plane and helicopter crash in Washington, DC, on Wednesday, January 29.

During ‘The View: Behind the Table’ segment on Thursday, Navarro sat down with executive producer Brian Teta as she slammed Trump for blaming diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives (called DEI) for the accident.

She called him out for being “heartless” and “soulless”, as reported by TV Insider.

Ana Navarro began, “I am so angry right now. I am so angry with the people that — I’m not angry with Donald Trump, because this is who Donald Trump is. He is heartless. He is soulless. He blames things without having any evidence.”

Labeling the Republican leader “irresponsible,” she continued, “It is incredibly cruel for him as commander in chief to go out there and say that three people who were flying that helicopter serving their country died because of DEI. How dare he. But you know that’s who he is.”

Navarro, 53,  also pointed out that Trump lacks “empathy.”

“I’ve always said [that] one of the things that a commander in chief and a president of the United States needed to be able to do is console the nation… be consoling, something that Joe Biden did quite well, and, frankly, most presidents have done quite well,” she stated, before adding, “It requires an iota of relating and feeling somebody else’s pain.”

Ana Navarro blasts people who voted for Donald Trump

Ana Navarro then shifted her focus to the people who chose Donald Trump over Kamala Harris in the last election.

Trump had reportedly defeated the former vice president with 270 Electoral College votes in the 2024 election.

“The people I’m furious at are the people who, knowing who he is, because it’s not like we’re learning this, voted for him because of the price of the eggs that are going up and keep going up, and will continue going up with more deportations and more bird flu and more everything,” she mentioned.

Donald Trump blames low standards of hiring for crash

Ana Navarro’s frustration came out after Trump during the White House press conference on Thursday, said, as per BBC, “We do not know what led to this crash, but we have some very strong opinions and ideas.”

He then went on to suggest that the diversity hiring led to the deadly crash.

“A group within the FAA determined that the workforce was too White, then they had made concerted efforts to get the administration to change that and to change it immediately. This was in the Obama administration,” Trump added, before asserting, “We must have only the highest standards for those who work in our aviation system," as per NBC News.
