WASHINGTON, DC: CNN host Anderson Cooper expressed that it was on-brand for former president and GOP nominee Donald Trump to share a crude remark against his political rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, on Wednesday, August 28, reported HuffPost.

Cooper's remarks came in light of Trump reposting a vulgar joke about Harris and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Truth Social the previous day. It suggested that the Vice President had slept her way up the political ladder, and implicated Clinton by referring to her husband, former president Bill Clinton's affair with Monica Lewinsky.

Anderson Cooper's observations about Donald Trump

Truth Social was the "main place" to get hold of Donald Trump in recent days, suggested Anderson Cooper as the former president was raging over the new indictment charges brought against him for trying to overturn the election results in 2020. However, Trump's latest attack on Harris and Clinton took his tantrums to a "whole other level."

During the segment titled 'Amplifying Ugliness', Cooper slammed the controversial business tycoon for spreading QAnon-linked slogans as well as sharing a “crude, sexist and misogynistic” remark about the two senior Democratic leaders.

"Reposting, to be precise, which means he didn’t come up with it himself but liked it so much that he wanted the rest of the world to see it, which is both a gentle introduction and a warning,” said the journalist.

While refusing to read the "demeaning" comment on air, Cooper noted, "Now remember, again, this is the Republican candidate for president and the 45th president of the United States talking about two women who, no matter what you think of their politics, are two of the most accomplished women in American political history."

"This is what he chose to amplify which, as extreme as it is, is not exactly out of character when it comes to him and women," he added.

Internet joins Anderson Cooper in slamming Donald Trump

Social media users took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their opinion on Anderson Cooper's segment and slammed Donald Trump for resharing the offensive joke post about Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton.

"Trump only knows anger, division, and hatred. He has no other tools in the box," wrote one person.

"Trump is so appalling & so self-serving that America has become desensitized to his behavior & the continual nasty lying BS he frequently comes out with. It has sadly become accepted & normalized, even for a former POTUS & now Presidential candidate," observed another.

"Make. No. Mistake. The meme with the Secretary of State and the Vice President is demeaning to ALL WOMEN," commented one individual.

"Of course because that’s all the crybaby has now. He’s a loser, failure & will never sit in our WH again. Old Grandpa is done," added another.

"He is disgusting and the fact that anyone would want him near the WH after everything he has put this country through is disturbing at best," shared one social media user.

"The felon should not be anywhere near power," added another.
