CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: Comedian Jon Stewart trolled Democratic leaders for hypocrisy at the Democratic National Convention, as he hosted a special episode of 'The Daily Show' in Chicago on Thursday, August 22.

Sen Bernie Sanders from Vermont, former president Bill Clinton, and others found themselves on the receiving end of Stewart's jabs, even though he acknowledged, "Credit where credit is due: the Democrats, on short notice, exploited their newfound momentum and enthusiasm with a display of the breadth and width of this diverse, often contradictory party of Roosevelt."

Jon Stewart remarks on irony within Democratic Party

Jon Stewart spoke of the diverse group of speakers who went up on the DNC stage, noting, "At their convention, they had union leaders and CEOs. They had Democratic Party icons and lifelong Republicans."

"They had a guy yelling, ‘Screw the billionaires!’ followed immediately by a very happy billionaire," shared the host, showing a picture of Sen Sander, followed by Illinois Governor and billionaire JB Pritzker. Both of them had spoken at the DNC, which took place from August 19 to 22.

"It's all okay if it’s our billionaire. I don’t like billionaires, but he’s all right," he quipped, mocking Sanders. Stewart also joked about Democrats speaking out against Yale Law graduate JD Vance when many of them, such as Hillary Clinton and Sen Amy Klobuchar were Yale alumni themselves.

However, the darkest of Stewart's joke was reserved for the end of the bit, when he indicated that the party nominee Kamala Harris "prosecuted sexual predators," and suggestively stopped contrasting with Bill Clinton's face came up on display next to her.
