Andrew Tate claims he spoke to Barron Trump as he flexes close ties to POTUS' family after arriving in US

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA: Contentious influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate returned to the US after officials lifted their travel restrictions.

Speaking to reporters upon landing in Florida on Thursday, February 27, Andrew made a bold claim that he's in close contact with the Trump family. He even touted that he spoke with Barron Trump after President Donald Trump faced an assassination attempt at a Pennsylvania rally in July 2024, as reported by Jezebel.com

"I’m very close with the Trump family. I know them well. I spoke to Barron after the incident. I look forward to once I'm free being with Donald Trump in person and reminding him that he’s a bulletproof bada**," Andrew Tate said. 

Just days before the travel restrictions were lifted, Andrew posted on X (formerly Twitter) on February 12, "The Tates will be free, Trump is the president. The good old days are back."

His comments about supposed close ties to the president's family come amid speculation that the Trump administration quietly pressured Romania to allow the Tate brothers to return to the US.

While Romanian authorities deny any outside influence, the Financial Times recently reported on a behind-the-scenes push by Trump allies to intervene. Attorney Joseph McBride, who is representing the Tates in the US, declined to confirm any lobbying efforts but cryptically told the New York Times, "Do the math. These guys are on the plane."

The New York Times also noted that the brothers, who are facing serious charges in Romania and the United Kingdom, have long anticipated support from the Trump administration, given their repeated yet unproven assertions that they are being unfairly targeted by Romania’s legal system with fabricated charges of gender-based violence.

The president himself has frequently argued that he is the victim of politically motivated prosecutions.

Andrew Tate has once again ignited online controversy after stating that he has a close relationship with the Trump family and has been in contact with Barron Trump. 

Some netizens believe the connection is plausible, as one wrote, "Yeah, he knows the family." Another claimed, "They are friends. Barron has this older group of male friends, and Andrew Tate is one of them.”

However, others questioned the nature of the alleged friendship, with one user commenting, "He spoke to Barron trump? That's weird. You’d think a guy Andrew Tate’s age would be speaking with Don Jr or Eric… but Barron?"

An individual declared, "That he is friends with Trump’s son shows what kind of parenting Barron had received."

One who didn't buy Andrew's assertions wrote, "Dropping an 18 year old's name to attach yourself to the family is disgusting... The rest of these Trump mongrels from Don, Jr. to Habba-Dabba-Doo are hopeless and should be ridiculed into oblivion, but leave Barron out of it."
