Angelina Jolie's rumored BF Akala clears air around his romance with actress at Christmas party in London
LONDON, UK: Angelina Jolie has been speculated to be dating British rapper Akala for more than a year after the two were spotted together on numerous occasions.
However, it has now been confirmed that their relationship is nothing more than friendship, as reported by Daily Mail.
The 40-year-old polymath, whose real name is Kingslee James McLean Daley, clarified that there was someone else in his life as he brought Chanelle Newman, a film producer, with him to the Rosewood London hotel’s Christmas party this week.

Akala reportedly introduced Chanelle Newman as his “girlfriend” at the gathering, putting an end to all the speculation of a romance between him and Angelina Jolie.
In October, a mole also claimed to People that the ‘Girl, Interrupted’ star and Akala are just friends.
The insider noted that Jolie is “close friends with Akala and his partner.”
They stated, “They all work together. Angelina remains focused on her family and is not dating at this time.”
Also, another insider confirmed the same in August after Jolie and the activist were spotted exiting a hotel together in Venice during the Venice Film Festival.
“She and Akala are not dating. She is friends with him and his partner, Chanelle, who was also there,” the source told People.
The tipster added, “They did several collabs over the years that focus on global issues like human rights. Angie speaks very highly of him.”

The rumors of Angelina Jolie and Akala dating came to the fore even as issues between the ‘Lara Croft: Tomb Raider’ actress and her ex-husband Brad Pitt show no signs of settling down soon.
After it was alleged that the Oscar-winning actress was not letting her six children meet Pitt’s parents, a source close to her fired back, saying, “Angelina has not blocked any communications or relationships; rather she encourages them to be in touch with their grandparents.”
“The kids send cards and gifts to their grandparents every year for their birthdays and Christmas,” they added.
The former couple share 23-year-old Maddox, Pax, 20, 19-year-old Zahara, Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. They were married from 2014 to 2019 after years of dating.
Earlier it was claimed that the 60-year-old actor’s parents “have not been able to see their beloved grandchildren for around eight years amid the ongoing divorce and legal battle between Brad and Angelina. Prior to the separation, they were a part of the kids’ lives.”
