LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Anna Delvey's 'Dancing with the Stars' partner, Ezra Sosa, revealed that the "fake heiress" cried in the bathroom after facing backlash over her casting in the reality competition.

The pro dancer explained that the producers of the show had trouble locating his dance partner following their first performance and eventually found her in the bathroom, as per Page Six

Sosa expressed, "She was in tears. I had never witnessed her in that state before, and it truly saddened me."

Ezra Sosa says no one deserves the hate Anna Delvey is getting right now

Ezra Sosa began the video by saying, "Oh my goodness gracious. I just want to come on here and talk about my official show as a professional dancer on 'Dancing with the Stars.' During the whole day, it was just truly the best day ever in the sense that I felt so much love from literally every single person, including my partner."

He, however, noted that Delvey didn't receive the same kind of reception.

"On my end, I was feeling so much positivity, on my patterns end, she wasn't receiving the same. I think the hardest part of my day, after the press line she was reading the comments and we couldn't find her."

Sosa shared, "They finally found her in the bathroom crying," as he wiped away his tears. He continued, "It broke my heart. As her partner, I want to just give her the best experience she could possibly could have. And knowing that that’s not the case, it really did break my heart."

"I know what she did was really controversial and was not right. I can never justify that for her and for anyone in her life. It's really hard for me, because this person that I'm truly just falling in love with every single day in rehearsal isn't the person that everyone sees in the media," further expressed the professional dancer.

He concluded, "No one deserves the amount of hate that she’s getting right now. She deserves a second chance. She has stepped up to the plate, and I just cannot wait for y’all to see how much she has improved, so tune in this next Tuesday. ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ and I’ll see you there."

Delvey's 'DWTS' stint was short-lived as she was eliminated alongside Tori Spelling on Tuesday, September 24, following their Oscars Night performances.

Anna Delvey continues to face the possibility of deportation

Immigration experts suggest Anna Delvey's legal troubles could soon overshadow her foray into the world of showbiz, as per the US Sun.

The convicted con artist's initial deportation was put on hold when she refused to leave an ICE detention center to board a flight, according to reports from Der Spiegel. In 2022, she was released on bail and put on house arrest in New York.

The regulations of her house arrest were recently relaxed, allowing her to travel to Los Angeles to participate in 'DWTS'.

Ellen Sullivan, an immigration attorney with Cambridge Immigration Law, talked about Delvey’s legal situation and said that her deportation remains a strong possibility.

"She is probably trying to get her criminal convictions overturned, and that may be the reason why deportation proceedings have not been completed yet," shared the lawyer.

However, Sullivan believes she has limited legal defenses depending on the nature of Delvey's convictions, and "unless she could prove that she would be tortured in her home country."

She further explained, "I assume that she applied for asylum and that her asylum case is still open in the immigration court. With asylum, she is able to apply for a work permit and can work wherever she wants."
