'Are you twelve?' Internet mocks 'Today' host Savannah Guthrie as she shows off her new hair accessory

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Today' host Savannah Guthrie recently took to Instagram to share her hairdo, including a hair accessory that wasn't well-received by the Internet.

Previously, the NBC host celebrated her 52nd birthday by posting a picture, where she was seen posing in front of a fireplace, bringing the camera close to her face, showcasing her ageless beauty.

In a recent post, Guthrie shared a couple of shots from the set of 'Today'. Sporting an all-black attire, the daytime TV personality had half of her hair pulled up and adorned with a sizable black bow for added flair. 

While the first image showed a closeup of her hair, the second provided a total view of the hairdo, featuring the black bow, as she was accompanied by Hoda Kotb, who had a stunned expression on her face. 

Guthrie humorously captioned the post, "Pro-bow," along with a black heart emoji.

While the look might have seemed appealing to Guthrie, the Internet seemed divided over it. 

One wrote, "I’m on the fence. It’s cute and all but I think there should be a cut off age. Over 50 seems it’s too youthful. Just MY opinion. Like I think women over 50 should not have shoulder or longer length hair," and another added, "Are you twelve?"

"Nooooo! I don’t like it. It looks like a bow for a little girl," noted a person, with someone else chiming in, "Too old for a bow like that."

A user simply wrote, "pro bow..no...," while one said, "No... you're a woman... hair bows in my opinion are for children."

"SG spotted in her bow era 🎀," pointed out a person, complimenting Guthrie, and another fan said, "The bow looks fabulous." 

Savannah Guthrie plans to cut back on 'weekday drinking' in 2024

In a behind-the-scenes video shared on 'Today' Instagram account, the morning show hosts Al Roker, Guthrie, Craig Melvin, and Sheinelle Jones opened up about what they will choose to keep and let go of in 2024.

Roker kicked off the clip, followed by insights from Guthrie, Melvin, and Jones, each sharing their resolutions for the year.

The author of 'The Princesses Wear Pants' revealed that "authenticity and hair bows" were on her list of things to embrace in 2024.

When asked what she planned to eliminate, Guthrie mentioned a desire to cut back on "weekday drinking, at least for January." However, she did express some uncertainty about achieving this goal.
