LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ariana Grande is the latest celebrity to slam President Donald Trump after his team used one of her songs in a post promoting anti-trans rhetoric.

The three-time Grammy winner expressed her frustration over a post on the Team Trump TikTok account, which showed her 2024 single ‘We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)’ used as the soundtrack.

Ariana Grande tells Trump 'your truth is false' over anti-trans TikTok post

The clip was posted on Thursday, August 20, showing the POTUS walking towards a podium to address the audience, and the text at the top read, “Me and my truth we sit in silence… Men can’t have babies and should never compete in women’s sports.”

The post’s caption was “This shouldn’t be controversial! #trump #arianagrande #maga.”

But Grande did not like it, as she fired back in the comments section by writing, “Never use my music again. Also, your truth is false.”

This, however, was not the first time the 33-year-old singer and actress has called out the commander-in-chief and his team.

In June, her 2024 song ‘Bye’ was used in a TikTok post, showcasing ICE agents arresting and handcuffing people.

At the time, Grande wrote, “Please do not ever use my music in relation to this barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense.”

Meanwhile, the latest controversy happened as the ‘Thank u, next’ hitmaker has announced a break from public life amid heightened scrutiny over her appearance.

A statement from her representative said, “Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour. She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny.”

“This tour has been a beautiful experience for her. She loves her fans and has loved every minute of this tour so much,” they added.

Later, Grande herself talked about it during her show in Chicago. She stated that her decision was “not a reactive or impulsive thing. It is something that I had decided, a plan I had quietly made a long time ago, and it’s a decision that was made from a thoughtful and empowered place.”

“No matter what noises exist out there, nothing will ever be able to distort my reality or be more real to me or louder to me than this love that we share,” the 'Wicked' star added.
