Ariana Grande sparks concern among fans as she appears alarmingly frail in viral BAFTAs photo

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Ariana Grande's frail appearance at the 2025 BAFTAs sparked widespread concern among her fans, as per the Daily Mail.
The 31-year-old, who was nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category for portraying Glinda in 'Wicked', arrived on the red carpet on Sunday, February 16, dressed in a poufy pink and black gown from Louis Vuitton, according to People.
The plunging dress apparently did nothing to hide her extremely thin features, thus fanning concerns among netizens.

Ariana Grande has long sparked health concerns for her frail appearance
A particular photo of Ariana Grande signing autographs at the BAFTAs went viral on social media platforms, where the pop icon appears practically bony. As per the Daily Mail, it fired up speculations that she was suffering from malnutrition, which remains a significant risk factor for ill health.
A visible sternum and gaunt cheeks as an adult have long been considered a sign of depreciating health by experts. They warn that it may lead to a host of issues such as having low energy and mood, loss of muscles, reduced mobility, and poor immunity, among others.
Almost total loss of subcutaneous fat can also lead to pressure sores and delayed wound healing, which usually leads to extended stays in hospitals.

Grande had previously admitted to working herself "to the bone" along with her co-star Cynthia Erivo on the sets of 'Wicked'. Both of them also contracted Covid-19 while filming.
In December 2024, the 'We can't be friends' singer became emotional during an interview discussing the constant online scrutiny she had endured since her teens over her weight.
"I’ve been doing this in front of the public, been a specimen in a petri dish since I was 16 or 17. I have heard it all," she said.
"I've heard every version of it, of what's wrong with me. And then you fix it, then it's wrong for different reasons. It's hard to protect yourself from that noise. It's something that is uncomfortable no matter what scale you're experiencing it on," Grande added.

Fans urge Ariana Grande to seek help as she appears alarmingly frail at BAFTAs
As the images of Ariana Grande looking extremely thin at the BAFTAs went viral, her fans took to social media to urge her to seek help regarding her weight.

One wrote, "I don't see people talk about this enough, but she needs help! Seeing Ari like this really breaks my heart, I really hope she gets better," and another said, "This is really sad, something is clearly going on in her life and obviously we have to respect her right to privacy but I hope she gets the help she needs."
"Looks like she is losing life for every signature," a concerned fan expressed, while someone else said, "She is either sick and not saying anything or she is just on a really bad road with some really bad influence and needs help. This sucks."
"Girl go eat some soul food," one more urged. Another person remarked, "I have doubts she’s the same person!"
"As long as her doctors say she's healthy is what's most important, but it does seem a bit extreme seeing it," read another comment.
