The 26-year-old author has accused the billionaire of being an absentee father, saying he’s barely made an effort to be involved in their child’s life.

In court documents, Ashley St Clair alleged Elon Musk has only seen their son RSC three times since his birth in September 2024. Her legal team insists this “has never been about money for Ashley,” but about ensuring the child has a stable, present parent.

“This is about protecting the best interests of Ashley and Elon’s child from a man who can’t be counted on to even communicate, much less act consistently in the role of a father,” her spokesperson told PEOPLE.'

The statement goes on to say, "Mr Musk spends more time on his own social media platform talking about his children’s mothers than talking to them." It adds, "We tried to handle this collaboratively with Mr Musk, but it takes both a father and a mother to do that, and he refused all conversations."

St Clair’s remarks follow criticism from YouTuber Jerry Rig Everything (Zach Nelson), who called out Musk on X, accusing him of "abandoning a 5 month old."

Nelson’s post featured a screenshot from a video showing Musk descending a staircase while his 4-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii, followed a few steps behind. When accused of abandoning a five-month-old and dodging child support, Musk fired back at the allegations, calling Jerry "an utter liar."

"I have always paid extremely generous child support and without any coercion to do so," he wrote, before adding, "Sometimes the mother asked for money vastly in excess of what the children could possibly need, so that needed to be adjudicated."

St Clair stated that she and Musk entered a "romantic relationship" around May 2023 and later conceived RSC in January 2024.
