Elon Musk’s dad Errol calls him a bad father amid rumors of 13th child: 'Too rich, too many nannies'

MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Elon Musk’s father, Errol Musk, has never held back, and his latest remarks about his billionaire son’s parenting skills are no exception.
Speaking on the 'Wide Awake' podcast on February 12, the elder Musk was blunt, "He has not been a good dad," reported OK! Magazine.
Elon Musk’s father slams his parenting style

Errol Musk claimed his son Elon relied too heavily on nannies while raising his children, pointing to the tragic loss of his firstborn, Nevada, who died of SIDS in 2002.
“The first child was too much with nannies and died in the care of a nanny,” he stated. “Elon’s gonna shoot me for saying this, but that’s what I think. That’s no good. They were too rich, too many nannies.”
According to him, when Elon and his ex-wife, Justine Wilson, divorced, their children were divided between two households with an army of nannies on each side. "When they got divorced, the nannies were six on this side and six on that side,” Errol added. “It was a really weird situation.”

During the conversation, host Joshua Rubin asked Errol whether he believed Elon hadn’t devoted enough time to his young children. Errol acknowledged that this was probably the case.
In 2002, Elon, now 53, and his former wife, Justine Wilson, became parents to their first child, a son named Nevada. Tragically, he died away at just 10 weeks old due to sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). "There is nothing worse than losing a child," Elon wrote in a May 2018 email. "My firstborn son died in my arms. I felt his heartbeat."
Elon Musk’s secret child controversy adds to family drama
As criticism of Elon Musk’s parenting circulates, so do rumors that he fathered a child with conservative influencer Ashley St Clair. She claimed on February 15 that Musk wanted to keep their child’s existence a secret “forever.”
“I was completely isolated during my pregnancy,” she revealed. “Every part of my career and everything I used to do—I couldn’t do anymore. I was told not to tell anybody.”
On February 14, she took to X (formerly Twitter), alleging that online stalkers threatened her toddler, sending graphic messages and disturbing images.
Ashley St Clair made a surprising announcement on social media, stating, "Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father."
“I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause," she wrote, adding, "I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child’s privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting.”
She accompanied her post with the caption "Alea lacta est," a Latin phrase that translates to "the die is cast."

Ashley’s representative, Brian Glicklich, issued a statement urging Musk to publicly acknowledge his parental role. “We are waiting for Elon to publicly acknowledge his parental role with Ashley, to end unwarranted speculation.”
So far, Musk has remained silent on the matter.
