LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Former Danity Kane member Aubrey O'Day stated that she felt "no vindication" in the wake of surveillance footage revealing her former boss, Sean 'Diddy' Combs, assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

O'Day, 40, who joined Bad Boy Records after Diddy formed the girl group Danity Kane in 2005, further asserted that the security footage is but the start of what is to come.

During an interview with Page Six, O'Day stated that she had no vindication at all for anybody, let alone the rap mogul, 54.

When asked if she feels vindicated, the singer responded, "There’s no vindication for anyone to have," during the Gurus Magazine launch party observing #30VOICES30DAYS on Saturday, June 1.

"Sadly, if you’re a victim of anyone at any point in time in life, this will ring true to you: There’s no such thing as vindication. It never goes away. It’s never better," she added.

O'Day added that the experience lingers and may continue to torment long after the accused is revealed.

She said, "And even when people are exposed, it doesn’t take away the experience. I suppose [being vindicated] gives you more credibility."

"But if you believe in yourself, anyone else’s belief in you doesn’t really matter much anyway. So, no, I don’t feel that."

Referring to the abuse and other accusations Diddy is currently facing, O'Day said, "It's a forever thing that you have to wake up every day and choose to evolve past. It doesn't go away."

"It's like childhood trauma. We don't like to think it just disappears in our thirties, but really we start realizing how bad it really is in our thirties," she added, per People.

The Dainty Kane singer further claimed that the security footage was just beginning.

O'Day further said, "Did you watch the video that was released? How many more of those do you think there are? Do you think that was the first time that that happened or the first person?"

Aubrey O'Day has made no secret of her disdain for Diddy

The 'Showstopper' singer resorted to social media to express outrage over an appalling 2016 video that CNN released in May this year showing Diddy hitting and punching his ex-girlfriend Cassie in a hotel.

O'Day had tweeted on May 17: "The picture is getting a lot more clear for you all I can imagine.. abuse survivors or anyone that triggers easily might not want to watch (images are disturbing). #Cassie #diddy #kimporter prayers up for all his victims."

The tweet has since been removed.

O'Day also criticized Diddy for his apology video, where he expressed his revulsion at what he had apparently done to Cassie. Combs was prohibited by law from mentioning Cassie by name in the video.

"Diddy did not apologize to Cassie. He apologized to the world for seeing what he did," O'Day tweeted on May 19. This tweet is also no longer available.

In the latest interview with People, O'Day further stated, "Justice is so much bigger than one man," before adding that "a bigger lane needs to be opened for the discussion beyond the abusers."

"[This] is how to create a safe space for music artists to evolve, be credited properly, be paid properly, and to not ever feel in fear or in obligation to anyone that has power over them and their dreams," she added.

The 'I'll Be Missing You' rapper is currently being sued in six other cases, which charge him with multiple felonies and sexual misconduct.
