Ayo Edebiri, 29, addressed the situation on Instagram this week, calling Musk an “idiot” and reflecting on the intense harassment she endured over a movie she had no involvement with.
“Just remembering when I got some of the most insane death threats and racial slurs of my life… for a fake reboot of a movie I had never even heard of because of this man LMAO,” she wrote.

"LMAO so not only is he a double s**g h**l-ing fascist, he's an idiot. but anyway," she added while slamming Musk, who is now leading President Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Johnny Depp, 61, plays Jack Sparrow in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movie series. While franchise producer Jerry Bruckheimer has referred to the upcoming installment as a "reboot," he has also acknowledged that he would love to see Depp return to the iconic role.

In December 2024, Variety revealed that Bruckheimer is working on two separate versions of a sixth 'Pirates of the Caribbean' film to keep the door open for Depp’s possible return, according to unnamed sources.
