'Bachelor' alum Brad Womack reveals Ellen DeGeneres apologized to him for calling him ‘jerk’ on her show
AUSTIN, TEXAS: Ellen DeGeneres, currently making headlines over bullying allegations from Ali Fedotowsky, showed another side of herself to Brad Womack.
In a recent podcast, Womack recalled a moment when the former talk show host apologized to him for calling him a "jerk" after he chose not to give a rose to a woman in the finale of 'The Bachelor' Season 11 in 2007.
This paints a drastically different picture of DeGeneres, as multiple sources have recently suggested that the former talk show host is upset by Fedotowsky's new allegations of bullying on her show, which are reportedly affecting her marriage to Portia de Rossi.

Brad Womack says he was 'ball of nerves' before sitting down with Ellen DeGeneres
When former 'Bachelor' star Brad Womack appeared on the 'Almost Famous' podcast this week with hosts Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti, he shared details about his difficult experience on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'.
Womack remembered the awkward moment with Ellen DeGeneres, saying, “I went on Ellen and I just bombed. I mean, I just bombed. Even the publicist at the time gave me those puppy eyes like, 'Oh, that didn’t go so well.'”
Referring to his appearance on season 11 of 'The Bachelor', Womack recalled how DeGeneres had called him a jerk for not choosing anyone. At the time, he had to choose between finalists DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft but ultimately decided not to pick either woman.
That decision ended Croft's involvement with the franchise, while Pappas remained a key figure.
Reflecting on his tough reception during his first appearance on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show', Womack admitted, "Thank God she asked me back for a little redemption. But it was the third time I was on Ellen to announce the second season."
He described feeling like a “ball of nerves” before sitting down with DeGeneres, and the experience turned out to be just as nerve-wracking as he expected.
“She didn’t cut me any slack, of course, and the audience wasn’t having it. It was a bad appearance,” he recalled. "But yeah, she did call me a jerk, and thank God she apologized."

When one of the hosts asked Womack why he thought Ellen DeGeneres had apologized to him, he suggested that she "got the other side of the story."
He explained that the fallout from his first season of 'The Bachelor' made him feel like "public enemy number one."
He explained, "That was never my intention; I wanted to stay true. I said this so many times, I really do believe in the premise of the show. I just didn’t want to sell out."
Womack speculated, "I think [Ellen] took her initial reaction and was thinking, 'Who does this guy think he is?' And then I guess through, I don’t know, some other channel she got the true story, and she invited me on."
He concluded, "I was able to tell my side of the story and so it went a little bit better. I got a little bit of redemption, but not much," reported DailyMail.
