NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: A video of 18-year-old Barron Trump, the son of President-elect Donald Trump, playing soccer went viral, making him the newest online sensation.

With more than 36,000 views, the highlight reel — which shows Barron demonstrating his athleticism on the field with ease — has sent the Internet into a frenzy.

Barron Trump’s 6'7" height steals spotlight in viral soccer video

Barron Trump, who is an impressive 6-foot-7, was seen humorously looming over his opponents in the video.

But it was his massive 6'7" frame — rather than just his amazing footwork — that drew everyone's attention. The sharp disparity between his height and the average height of soccer players was immediately noted by fans, prompting many to joke that he might be "in the wrong sport."

Although Barron is seen in the video outperforming opponents and performing some slick moves, his height has viewers wondering if he would be better suited for a career in basketball.

Being a huge soccer fan, Barron has played the game since he was a young boy and is said to have even improved his skills with the youth squad of an MLS club. According to reports, Barron, who was about 12 at the time, had played for DC's youth squad, according to Daily Mail.

During the former soccer player's brief stint playing for DC United, Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney reportedly gave counsel to the youngest son of the president-elect.

Internet suggests Barron Trump is better suited for basketball

However, many people said that Barron Trump's towering size would be more useful on the basketball court in the two-minute video's comment section of YouTube.

A user claimed, "He is playing the wrong sport. Get him on a basketball court."

Another added, "Bro should honestly be a goalkeeper of defender(I don’t know what position he plays)."

The third commentator remarked, "He needs to start playing basketball….hes going to have the footwork from all this soccer he’s been playing….and he’s 6’8….GIVE HIM A🏀."

"Play basketball man ur 6'7," one said.

A person said, "I am a Football Fan but I think that he would definitely fit better in Basketball with his height."

Other chimed in, "Play basketball or volleyball, football no you so tall."

However, not everyone was impressed with Barron's soccer abilities, with some agreeing that he would likely have more to showcase on a basketball court.

A YouTube user said, "Slow and clumsy. Just because he's tall wouldn't make him a good basketball player either."

Another went on to say, "I like Barron and he can make a high school soccer team, but if that's it, those aren't amazing skills. I want to see the hoops."
