LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s powerful personalities could be the source of their marital issues. A source close to the stars dished that their “gigantic egos” and “strong opinions” could lead to a falling out amid ongoing marital issues.

After the couple was not seen together for over a month, speculation began as to whether their marriage was falling apart. They are reportedly living separately.

The source close to the stars recently revealed, "Even when things are quote-unquote ‘good’ between Ben and Jennifer, their gigantic egos and sharp opinions mean there’s going to be some fighting and arguing," reports OK! Magazine.

Another source claimed, "Jen and Ben are having issues in their marriage. They started having issues a few months ago as Jen had started ramping up work commitments and prepping for her tour. Jen is very focused on work."

"They have gone through phases where things haven't been as great between them due to their different personalities and not getting enough time together," the insider added. The insider remarked, "They're not always on the same page. They both have so much going on between taking care of their families and their work commitments and it can be a lot for them."

Although the celebrity couple has not publicly addressed their alleged marital issues, the 'On the Floor' singer recently snubbed a reporter who queried her about it during a discussion for her new movie, 'Atlas,' in Mexico City. "You know better than that," she firmly retorted.

Affleck's ex-wife Jennifer Garner is reportedly "encouraging Ben to work on his marriage to Jen," per the outlet. The insider added, "She fully supports their relationship and wants nothing more than for him to be happy," stating that she is aware that having public attention "can put a strain" on marriages.

The reunited couple has been away for extended periods. Lopez, 54, was even seen house-searching solo in Bel Air, California, while Affleck, 51, has been living separately in a rental a few miles away from their $60 million Beverly Hills mansion.

An insider dished that although both of them are obstinate, the 'Jenny from the Block' singer has become a "huge headache" for Affleck, per Geo News. The insider disclosed the reason behind their strained marriage, claiming that Affleck was unable to cope with their property hunt due to Lopez's incessant criticism.

Both Lopez and Affleck are under a great deal of pressure to do well in their career. The ‘Air’ star is busy working on a slew of projects through his and Matt Damon’s production company, while the singer is dealing with a disastrous album and multiple tour delays.

The A-listers abandoned their intentions to purchase a home in New York City after their infamous real estate misstep—they withdrew out of Escrow three times before purchasing their $60 million Los Angeles mansion in 2023, per TMZ—hit again, adding strain to their two-year marriage.

Lopez's indecision and complaints caused so much stress for their marriage that they had to give up on their intentions to buy a property in New York City. The insider stated, "Looking for a property that checked all the boxes for them, Jennifer especially, proved to be a huge headache. They were fighting over every detail."

This drove Affleck to the breaking point. The insider claimed, "Ben has too much on his plate, and when he faces personal adversity, the old demons come out."

"The only way he’s going to have any peace is if he and Jennifer put their stubbornness aside and focus on making each other happy," the insider said.
