LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ben Affleck is devastated as he still deals with the emotional weight of a painful therapy session with Jennifer Garner during one of his rehab stints.
The actor is convinced he has ruined all his chances of getting back with Garner after what transpired during the rehab therapy back in 2018.

Ben Affleck is reportedly devastated by the news that Jennifer Garner, 52, is getting engaged to businessman John Miller, 46, whom she’s been dating since 2018.
A source told Radar Online, “Ben is devastated by the rumors Jen is getting engaged to John and thinks his affairs confession totally ruined his chances of getting her back.”
The same source said the couple intended to work on healing for their children.
“He and Jen went into that session to create a clean slate, especially for the kids,” said the insider, adding, “But he now fears his honesty has backfired and Jen will never take him back.”

The emotional confession session reportedly took place during Affleck’s time at The Canyons rehab facility in Malibu in 2018.
The raw confessions continue to haunt Affleck, especially now that Garner is reportedly getting engaged to Miller.
“It was one of the last chapters in Ben's rehab journey," the insider said.
The source added it was "really painful at the time", adding, "He's still haunted with shame over it now."
He hates that "he messed it up with Jennifer and secretly yearns to get her back," revealed the source.
During the intense two-hour therapy meeting, Affleck reportedly sat “red-faced” as he opened up about his infidelity in front of Garner, who sat beside him.
The goal of the meeting was to “create a clean slate” between the two for the benefit of their three children — Violet, now 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13.

Another insider revealed that the rawness of the confessional reduced Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner to tears.
“He and Jen both ended up in tears by the end of his first session where he opened up about his affair and relationships as it opened up a lot of wounds,” said the insider.
Among the topics discussed was Affleck’s alleged affair with former family nanny Christine Ouzounian, who had been hired in 2015 but was soon dismissed.
The incident, along with Affleck’s alcohol struggles, contributed to the collapse of the couple’s ten-year marriage.
Affleck had previously entered rehab in 2001 and again in 2017 before this final stint in 2018, when Garner staged an intervention and drove him to rehab with an addiction specialist, per the publication.
Since the divorce was finalized in October 2018, Affleck dated Lindsay Shookus and Shauna Sexton before rekindling his romance with Jennifer Lopez in 2021.
He married Lopez in 2022, but she filed for divorce in August 2024, with the split finalized by January 2025.
