Recently, the actor from 'Flash' clarified why he often appears angry in paparazzi photos during the season 4 premiere of Kevin Hart's talk show 'Hart to Heart' on Peacock.
Ben Affleck has an explanation for his resting b***h face
"I'm also a little bit shy," confessed the Oscar winner to Kevin Hart during the season four premiere of Peacock's 'Hart to Heart.'
Jennifer Lopez's husband said, "I also don't like a lot of attention. That's why people see me and they're like, 'Why's this dude always mad?' Because somebody has their camera and sticks it in my face and I'm like, 'Okay, here we go.'"
Furthermore, he stressed the importance of protecting his family, which includes his children Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, from his ex Jennifer Garner, as well as his wife Jennifer Lopez's 16-year-old twins Max and Emme, from intrusive photographers.
He further commented during the June 20 episode, "Also, because I'm with my kids and they're taking my picture," and continued, "Actually, what I'd like to do is much more definitive than just look at you like this. I don't mind, you can take my picture at a club or a premiere, with my wife, I don't give a f**k. Knock yourself out. I don't notice you. But with my children, that's a different thing."
Even when he's feeling better, the 51-year-old admits that his family occasionally teases him about his less-than-sunny facial expressions.
"By the way, I might also be someone who finds myself sitting at home," Affleck noted, "and they'll be like, 'What's wrong?' 'Nothing. Nothing's wrong.'"
The anecdote prompted Hart to suggest the 'Argo' star has a "resting b**ch face," to which Affleck hilariously replied, "B**ch!? I have a resting hard face."
In the end, Affleck said, "People are projecting something onto me that I don't feel about myself at all."
When Jennifer Lopez opened up about Affleck's expressions
Back in January of this year, Lopez reassured Entertainment Tonight when asked about the public interest in Affleck's demeanor while walking the red carpet at the 2024 Golden Globes, saying, "Ben is doing just fine. You don't need to worry about Ben, let me just tell you."
"He's good. He's happy. He's here, he's nominated," the 'Let’s Get Loud' singer explained, noting that Affleck himself doesn't understand why the public is so fascinated by his demeanor.
“He’s like, ‘I’m chilling. I don’t understand what people are so pressed for,'” Lopez said, noting with a laugh, “They don’t pick up on my face.”
On the other hand, Affleck's recent remarks about avoiding the public eye coincide with ongoing speculation about a potential breakup with Lopez after two years of marriage, although neither celebrity has addressed the divorce rumors publicly.
