Recently, a source close to the rumored estranged couple shared with People that the 51-year-old actor has not had the “easiest” summer. But instead of spiraling down to despondency, the actor is staying busy with work.
It has previously been reported that Affleck and his pop star wife have prepared their divorce documents but have not yet filed them.
Now, a source close to the couple is revealing that amid the ongoing marital strain, the ‘Gone Girl’ actor is now staying busy with work.

Ben Affleck, who is a producer along with being an actor, has often been spotted emerging from his Los Angeles office. Clearly, he is immersing himself in work.
Commenting on the news of Jennifer Lopez being “humiliated” by the souring of their relationship, the source close to the ‘AIR’ actor recently told People, “It hasn’t been the easiest summer for him either.”
They continued, "He’s just trying to stay focused and make every day as good as possible.”
“Ben’s doing well. He thrives when he’s busy and he’s been working nonstop. The kids are still off from school. He spends a lot of time with them, too,” added the source.
Affleck shares his three children - Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12 - with his first wife Jennifer Garner.
Another source shared with Us Weekly, “Ben feels like he’s been weighed down this year. He will always care for Jen, but he knows the marriage is done, and he wants to focus on himself right now.”
The source also commented on Affleck purchasing a $20.5 million Pacific Palisades bachelor pad after his marriage with Lopez, 55, crumbled.
The source shared, “Ben needed new energy in his life,” and added, “He’s in a better mindset and is pushing forward.”

The rumor of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's marital woes started swirling over the internet in May after they were not seen publicly for weeks. After multiple sources shared that their relationship was in tatters, a source close to the couple told Page Six that Affleck had checked himself from filing for divorce to protect Lopez.
It has also been reported that they are no longer on speaking terms with the source claiming, “He's humiliated her because she made a big deal that he's the love of her life.”
“They just had two weddings two years ago. This is some kind of a record, they're not young kids,” added the source.
Moreover, the insider added that the ‘Jenny From the Block’ singer is also left upset as both of their children are involved in it.
“There are five kids involved in this,” the source noted, before adding, “She knew they were going to blend families. She has not fully accepted it is over.”
Lopez is the mother of her twins Max and Emme, 16, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
