Ben Affleck 'in escrow' on new Brentwood home, claims 'Million Dollar Listing' star Josh Flagg

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ben Affleck might be looking to settle down in Brentwood, after all. 

Recently, ‘Million Dollar Listing’ star Josh Flagg told TMZ that the 51-year-old actor is reportedly “in escrow” on a home in the neighborhood where he has been living ever since he left his $60 million marital home in Beverly Hills earlier this year. 

Flagg told the outlet that he had heard Affleck was in search of a property in Brentwood where he could permanently set his roots.

Ben Affleck has been living in a rented house in Brentwood for months

Around May this year, the first rumors of trouble in Ben Affleck’s marriage with Jennifer Lopez started to make the rounds. 

Just a few months short of celebrating their second wedding anniversary, the couple, popularly called ‘Bennifer’ by their fans, started maintaining separate living arrangements following the rumor of a split.

While initially Lopez was living in their Beverly Hills marital home, Affleck moved out to a rented property in Brentwood, where he was reportedly shelling out $100,000 a month in rent. 

The house is also located at a short distance from the home of his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, 52, with whom he shares three children - Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12. 

The ‘Gigli’ couple reportedly listed their marital property for $68 million in early July. 

Flagg shared with the outlet that while they initially tried to maintain a low profile about the sale, it bore no fruit. Thus they resorted to publicly listing their property.

Jennifer Lopez celebrated her birthday without Ben Affleck

Since the couple has been reportedly living apart since May, they have not been photographed publicly except on a few occasions when they reunited for their children’s programs. 

Recently, the couple celebrated several holidays apart including the Fourth of July celebrations. 

Lopez and Affleck did not celebrate their second wedding anniversary together and the 'Atlas' star rang in her 55th birthday on July 25 in a ‘Bridgerton’-themed party in the Hamptons with the ‘Good Will Hunting’ actor not in attendance, per Daily Mail.

Following the party, Lopez thanked her fans for their birthday wishes through a social media post, where she wrote, “I really do have the best, most amazing fans in the world.”

She continued, “I could never express how moved I am or how incredibly blessed I feel to have all of you be a part of my life. Thank you sooooo very much,” before noting, “It's hard to believe we have spent all this time together.”

The ‘Jenny From The Block’ singer concluded, saying, “It's funny as I sit here contemplating on the most extraordinary journey I still feel like the same girl starting out so full of energy and bravado, so ready to take on the whole world on the outside and yet so tender, fragile and sometimes frightened but always full of love on the inside.”
