Ben Affleck looks upbeat as he celebrates family milestone with ex Jennifer Garner amid divorce rumors

NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT: Ben Affleck was all smiles as he seemed to be enjoying himself in the company of his former wife Jennifer Garner, and two of their children, amid rumors that his marriage with Jennifer Lopez is on the rocks.

The filmmaker went for dinner at the restaurant South Bay with his 52-year-old ex-spouse and their two older children — Violet, 18, and their child Fin, 15 — in New Haven, Connecticut on Saturday, August 17, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The family is in town to drop Violet apparently at Yale University as she will start college soon.

During the outing, the ‘Gone Girl’ star was seen donning a button-down, slacks, and a pair of Nike trainers while Garner opted for a striped top, jeans, and smart black glasses.

Affleck and the ‘13 Going on 30’ actress had been married from 2005 to 2018.

Apart from Violet and Fin, they also share a 12-year-old son named Samuel.

In May, Garner posted a series of photographs on her Instagram page, sharing her eldest daughter graduated from high school.

She captioned the pictures as “Tell me you have a graduate without telling me you have a graduate. 🎓 (bless our hearts 🥺♥️🤣).”

Also, more recently, Garner and Affleck reportedly went on a trip to Japan with their three kids.

A source told Fox News Digital, "They’re best friend exes and the epitome of good co-parenting."

Jennifer Lopez missed family outing

Amid all these happy moments, Jennifer Lopez was reportedly nowhere to be found despite sharing a close bond with Violet, who wants to save their marriage.

She, however, visited Ben Affleck at his Los Angeles home on his birthday on August 15.

Later in the night, she was reportedly spotted at an indoor arena in Inglewood, California, called Intuit Dome, as she danced to Bruno Mars's song 'Marry Me'.

The ‘On the Floor’ singer tied the knot with Affleck in 2022. At the time, Lopez reportedly said, “They were right when they said, ‘all you need is love’. We are so grateful to have that in abundance, a new wonderful family of five amazing children and a life that we have never had more reason to look forward to.”

“Stick around long enough and maybe you’ll find the best moment of your life in a drive-through in Las Vegas at twelve-thirty in the morning in the tunnel of love drive-through, with your kids and the one you’ll spend forever with. Love is a great thing, maybe the best of things worth waiting for,” she added.

However, now it seems Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck want to go their separate ways.

A tipster shared with PEOPLE earlier in August, “They’re moving on separately. Jennifer is trying to find a new home to start fresh. Considering everything that's going on, Jennifer is having a good summer.”

“She's been off and able to focus on what's next. She’s enjoyed spending time with her kids, family and friends. She always has good attitude even when things are not perfect,” the insider added.
