Ben Affleck praised for reminding son Samuel, 13, he needs to mow a ‘lot of lawns’ to afford $6K sneakers

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ben Affleck is not only an Oscar-winning actor but also a sensible father when it comes to his children.
On Saturday, March 1, when the 52-year-old actor went sneaker shopping with his son Samuel, he schooled the 13-year-old about the importance of hard work that leads to success and money.
Ben Affleck, while taking his son sneaker shopping, reveals he loves the 2015 Nike SB Dunk Low "De La Soul" and reacts to the 1985 Bred Jordan 1s.

As the actor and his son were searching for sneakers, his son Samuel (or Sam as he mostly goes by) was left enamored by a pair that reportedly cost upward of $6,000. But without missing a beat, the ‘AIR’ actor reminded his son that he would have to “mow” a “lot of lawns” if he wanted to buy the expensive shoes.
Ben Affleck schools son Samuel about importance of spending money wisely
In a video shared by the host of Got Sole, a popular sneaker convention in Los Angeles, Ben Affleck could be seen shopping for fancy footwear with his son Samuel, who is the youngest of his three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
As the father-and-son duo spoke to the organizers about their love for sneakers, one particular pair of Dior Air Jordan 1s caught the attention of the hopeful teenager.
Affleck, who has already proved his acumen for sneakers by starring in the movie ‘AIR’ that tells the story of Nike’s flagship Air Jordans, looked amused when his son eyed the pair.

Despite the Oscar winner’s net worth being estimated at $150 million, Affleck schooled his son about the importance of spending money sensibly.
Visibly concerned, the ‘Gigli’ actor told his son, “You like those ‘cause they’re expensive.”
As he heard the price of the pair, in a true parental fashion, he told his son, “That’s a lot of lawns you gotta’ mow there!”
Soon, the moment caught the attention of the fans, who praised the actor for teaching his son the importance of hard work despite being a multi-million dollar earning Hollywood star.
As reported by BuzzFeed, Affleck's son Samuel also didn’t mind leaving the pair behind. The outlet further reported that though he did not get the designer pair, the father-and-son duo might have ended their shopping expedition on a positive note as they were later seen leaving the venue with shoebox-sized packages in another video.
