MEMPHIS, LOUISIANA: Shannen Doherty's death has left her fans devastated. The 'Beverly Hills, 90210' star died on July 13, Saturday, after a prolonged battle with cancer.

She was first diagnosed with cancer in 2015. She went into remission in 2017 but in February 2020, she confirmed the cancer had returned to stage four before spreading to her brain and bones.

Doherty's co-stars from ‘Charmed’ and ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ remembered and honored her.

Doherty played the eldest of the Halliwell sisters in ‘Charmed' while in 'Beverly Hills, 90210', she played the role of Brenda Walsh.

Rose McGowan describes 'Charmed' co-star Shannen Doherty as 'warrior'

Fellow 'Charmed' star Rose McGowan, who joined the show after Shannen Doherty's exit at the end of Season 3, described the actress as having the "heart of a lion" in a heartfelt Instagram post shared on Sunday, July 14.

"Passion for craft is often mislabeled as trouble. Shannen was passion. I met her in the 90s and was awed. Getting to really know her later in life, a beautiful gift. This woman fought to live," McGowan explained.

"Shannen knew how to be a star because she was one since childhood. Her work ethic inspiring to the end. Shannen’s great love for directing, for acting, Holly, her friends, her parents, dog and her beloved fans was legendary."

"Our lives had been intertwined in a unique way. We laughed at dark forces who wanted us to hate each other, instead we chose love and respect. A soft-hearted bada** as there ever was. A force of energy that will live forever in hearts," McGowan added, before concluding her caption, "May angels and God carry her to the holy kingdom where she is healthy, young and wild forever. Rest now warrior, we will never forget you dear sister 🎭 ."

Alyssa Milano, Shannen Doherty and Holly Marie Combs played sisters on 'Charmed'.

Milano asserted, "It’s no secret that Shannen and I had a complicated relationship, but at its core was someone I deeply respected and was in awe of."

She concluded, "She was a talented actress, beloved by many and the world is less without her. My condolences to all who loved her" as per People.

'Beverly Hills, 90210' star Jason Priestley, 54, paid tribute to his on-screen twin in an Instagram post on Sunday.

Priestley wrote beneath a photo of their characters, Brandon and Brenda Walsh, hugging at their high school graduation.

He wrote, "Shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of my friend Shannen. She was a force of nature and I will miss her. Sending love and light to her family in this dark time."

Fellow original cast member of 'Beverly Hills, 90210', Brian Austin Green, 50, expressed his gratitude for Doherty's love on his Instagram Stories.

Jennie Garth also honored her friend and former 'Beverly Hills, 90210' co-star with a heartfelt message on Instagram, reminiscing about their "connection" outside of the spotlight.

Garth wrote in the post caption, "I am still processing my tremendous grief over the loss of my long time friend Shannen, the woman I have often described as one of the strongest people I have ever known."

"Our connection was real and honest. We were so often pitted against each other but none of that reflected the truth of our real relationship which was one built on mutual respect and admiration."

She concluded, "She was courageous, passionate, determined and very loving and generous. I will miss her and will always honor her deeply in my heart and in my memories. My heart breaks for her family and Bowie and all the people who loved her. 💔"
