'We used to share everything': When Shannen Doherty donned the gown Tori Spelling lost her virginity in
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Shannen Doherty and Tori Spelling share a closer bond than most ex-costars. During their recent reunion, the 'Beverly Hills, 90210' co-stars divulged in an open conversation that Doherty had borrowed the outfit in which Spelling had lost her virginity.
This follows the pair recalling the dissolution of their strong bond on Monday's 'Let's Be Clear' podcast episode.
The actresses remembered their time as stars of their much-liked teen drama, which aired on Fox for 10 seasons between 1990 and 2000, and the reasons behind their eventual drift away.
Tori Spelling and Shannen Doherty 'used to share everything'
On Monday, April 22, Tori Spelling revealed on her 'MisSPELLING' podcast that her close friend and costar Shannen Doherty borrowed a Betsey Johnson dress from Spelling that she lost her virginity in and had a "big a** blood stain" on the back.
Spelling, 50, who portrayed Donna Martin on the television series, lost her virginity to her first serious partner, Ryan Ozar, whom she dated from 1991 to 1993, per Daily Mail.
Spelling reflected on her first sexual encounter with her then-boyfriend Ozar during the show, recalling the distinctive attire she donned for the intimate encounter.
"Do you remember the Betsy Johnson dress that you wore in our biggest cast photo? It was black, floral," Spelling enquired. "We used to share clothes, everything."
"Are you trying to tell me you lost your virginity in my dress?" inquired 53-year-old Doherty.

Spelling argued that it was actually the other way around, though. "Um, no, I’m going to say that you wore the dress I lost my virginity in," Spelling retorted as Doherty slapped her hands down in amazement.
Spelling went on, "I told you! I literally said, ‘There’s a blood stain in the back’ and you were like, ‘I don’t give a f**k'," while Doherty appeared shocked.
"Oh wait, you’re talking about that black dress that had the big red roses on it that crossed in the back? I loved that dress," Doherty recalled, per PEOPLE.
The 'Heathers' actress emphasized, "It was cleaned though. I just don’t think they got that stain out or something . . . We were going somewhere and I didn’t have anything to wear so I borrowed that dress."
Although Doherty was wearing Spelling's bloodstained dress that day, she eventually bought an all-black replica of the Betsey Johnson dress.

Tori Spelling and Shannen Doherty recall why they fell out
The former 'Beverly Hills 90210' cast members also discussed what caused their friendship to end. Spelling admitted that she was "easily swayed" while Doherty thought back on several issues that "collided at one time."
Doherty added they were "trying to figure out" what the "pivotal moment" was that caused their friendship to fall apart before the podcast episode was recorded.
"It’s like one minute, we were friends, and then one minute we weren't," Spelling—who admitted to being a "swayer," referring to it as her "downfall"—remarked.
Doherty concurred and said, "You were always easily swayed. And it was very frustrating for me because I always used to tell you like, ‘Yeah, Tor, have an opinion.’ Like, you're smart, you're funny, you're talented."
"I loved you and I respected you and I wanted you to believe in yourself as much as I believed in you," she added, per PEOPLE.
Doherty stated that she was attempting to "figure out what was the weak point where you were able to be swayed," and she thinks it had to do with the relationship Spelling was in at the time.
Doherty claimed that Spelling's then-boyfriend was the reason behind it and claimed that the actresses "started drifting apart" following a trip to Mexico with their respective boyfriends.
"There was a point — I specifically remember looking at you and saying, 'You have to end it with him, or I'm going to actually kill him. Like — I can't stand by and watch this,'" Doherty added.
"And all I can think is that because you didn't break up with him. You stayed and you got tortured for a little bit longer," the 'Charmed' alum remarked.
