Beyonce ‘sticking by’ Jay-Z and putting family first amid serious lawsuit against rapper, claims source
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Beyonce, who is still in shock over her husband Jay-Z being sued over serious charges, intends to stick by him. The rapper recently went out with his wife and daughter Blue Ivy Carter for the 'Mufasa: The Lion King' premiere.
His legal problems stemmed from an incident that took place at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 7, 2000, which Jay-Z attended along with disgraced rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs. However, both rappers have strongly refuted the claims.
Beyonce and Jay-Z 'will face this situation together'
Beyonce has been battling the weight of the situation for the past few days following the serious accusations made against Jay-Z. However, the 'Halo' singer has decided to support her husband, no matter what.
"She’s sticking by Jay, as evidenced by last night’s family outing," a source told Page Six, in reference to the Carters walking the red carpet at the Monday night, December 9, premiere of 'Mufasa: The Lion King'.
According to a second insider, the 'Dreamgirls' actress, 43, "has no intention of leaving Jay-Z," adding that Beyonce "wholeheartedly believes him" and is "supporting him throughout" this ordeal.
"[The Carters are] a team and will face this situation together," the source added.
In an October lawsuit filed over the weekend, a woman accused Jay-Z and Combs of assaulting her at a house party following the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards.
According to the documents obtained by Page Six, the plaintiff, who goes by Jane Doe, claimed that Combs and Jay-Z both assaulted her while an unidentified female celebrity looked on.
Following the allegations, the 55-year-old Jay-Z denied the claims and said that the victim's attorney, Tony Buzbee, was attempting to "blackmail" him. Combs, also 55, refuted the accusations through his legal team.
Beyonce 'has no intention of canceling' Christmas Day halftime show amid Jay-Z lawsuit
Despite her husband's legal troubles, Beyonce also "has no intention of canceling" her much-anticipated Christmas Day halftime show, according to another insider.
The singer is scheduled to perform songs from 'Cowboy Carter' during halftime at the NFL game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium in Texas on December 25.
"Rehearsals have been and continue to be underway," a source confirmed.
However, Beyonce denied rumors that she would be embarking on a tour the following year after her eagerly awaited Christmas Day halftime performance, per Page Six.
Her singer’s longtime publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, confirmed on X, "Untrue. Nothing to report here. Whenever there is any news, you will hear it directly from the source first."
Beyonce and Jay-Z's highs and lows during 16-year marriage
The 'Drunk In Love' artists got married in 2008 and share three children together: daughter Blue Ivy, 12, and twins Sir and Rumi, 7.
This is not the first time Beyonce has remained by her husband's side. During their 16-year marriage, she and the Roc Nation founder have experienced many highs and lows previously.
Although the couple has kept most of their relationship extremely private, the public realized that issues might have been developing behind the scenes when Beyonce's sister, Solange Knowles, brutally attacked Jay-Z while they were in an elevator together.
Video footage obtained by TMZ at the time showed that Solange, 38, punched and kicked the billionaire rapper while her big sister watched from Boom Boom Room during a 2014 Met Gala afterparty.
Beyonce addressed the altercation in her 2015 Nicki Minaj-assisted song, 'Flawless (Remix),' but the Carters family kept the reasons behind the fight silent.
She sang in the song, "We escalate, up in this b***h like elevators / Of course sometimes s**t go down / When it’s a billion dollars on an elevator."
Moreover, rumors of potential infidelity on Jay-Z's part began to circulate after the release of the mother of three's phenomenal album 'Lemonade' in 2016. Beyonce appeared to confirm that her husband was cheating on her during their marriage in several songs.
Jay-Z also opened up about their marital problems during the June 2017 release of his project '4:44'. In an interview with the New York Times in November 2017, the 'Big Pimpin' host came clean about cheating on Beyonce.
Despite their marital difficulties, the Carters remained supportive of one another and put out a joint album titled 'Everything Is Love' in 2018. Beyonce alluded to their renewed vows in the song 'Love Happy' following the affair.
