WASHINGTON, DC: Joe Biden dismissed accusations made by Donald Trump against him following the verdict in the hush money trial.

Trump, after proven guilty on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records, had alleged that the hush money case was politically motivated and the current government was behind his legal issues.

Joe Biden pooh-poohs Donald Trump’s allegations

Biden dismissed these allegations by saying, “I didn't know I was that powerful,” as reported by the Daily Mail.

The 46th president also asserted that he has no fear of ending up in court like his predecessor, while answering to White House correspondent for Fox News, Peter Doocy.

“Not at all. I didn't do anything wrong. The system still works,” he claimed.

Biden even addressed a new post-conviction poll result that declared Trump topping the race against the current commander-in-chief. He said he had “no idea” if the guilty verdict would actually prove beneficial for Trump.

Donald Trump claims to be winning against Joe Biden in new poll

This came after the Republican leader during a press conference boasted the polling.

He reportedly said, “The other thing - a poll came out. The first poll. Maybe others will be bad. But the poll just came out a little while ago [by] the Daily Mail.”

He further said, “Does anybody read the Daily Mail? They have a good poll. I like it today. The Daily Mail just came out with a poll and it has Trump up six points in the last 12 hours. Six points since this happened. Who thought this could happen.”

“Because the people of our country know it's a hoax. They know it's a hoax. They get it. They are really smart and it's really something,” Trump added.

Joe Biden calls Donald Trump ‘irresponsible’

Earlier, Biden had slammed Trump after he called the hush money trial “rigged”.

The current leader said, “The American principle that no one is above the law was reaffirmed.”

He continued, “Donald Trump was given every opportunity to defend himself, it was a state case, not a federal case and it was heard by a jury of 12 citizens, 12 Americans, 12 people like you.

“There was a process that Donald Trump's attorney was part of, the jury heard five weeks of evidence - five weeks - and after careful deliberation, the jury reached a unanimous verdict.”

“They found Donald Trump guilty on all 34 felony counts,” he stated, before adding, “And it's reckless, it's dangerous, it's irresponsible for anyone to say this was rigged, just because they don't like the verdict.”

Internet reacts to Joe Biden's comments

People slammed Biden’s statements on social media platforms, with a user on X saying, “They both belong in jail.”

Another user commented, “Biden did everything wrong. So he should worry.”

The third one tweeted, “Your numbers show very little support.”

“I didn't know he was that powerful. lol 😆😂😳 😂 come on, this is just proof he's got his dirty paws all over this thing. It's like free marketing for him but too bad it's only gonna backfire. IMO,” the fourth one stated.

The fifth one added, “Monday the PROSECUTION will literally be bringing in HUNTER'S LAPTOP as EVIDENCE @JoeBiden Will be eating his words, not ice cream.”

A person commented, “‘I didn’t do anything wrong’ yeah, same thing the last president said.”

Another remarked, “How many people respond to a question with ‘I didn’t do anything wrong?’ Unless, of course, they know they are indeed the guilty one.”
