Bill Maher says ‘Iran is for’ Harris as he cites Obama’s failure to bring it back to international order
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bill Maher remarked that Iran was for Vice President Kamala Harris, citing former president Barack Obama's failure to bring back the Middle Eastern country into the international fold due to his predecessor Donald Trump's actions, as per Breitbart.
In the latest episode of 'Real Time with Bill Maher' broadcast on Friday, September 6, the talk show host made the claim as he entered into arguments with former Trump National Security Adviser HR McMaster, who criticized both Obama and Harris' policies in the Middle East and especially Iran.
Maher argued in support of the 44th president, claiming his attempts to bring back Iran under the international sphere "failed because Trump undid it". Maher then declared "Iran is for" current Democratic presidential nominee, Kamala Harris.
HR McMaster claims Biden-Harris administration tried to resurrect Barack Obama's failed Middle East policies
HR McMaster argued that Barack Obama and the current Biden administration's policies were "feckless" in relation to the Middle East, in particular Iran and Israel.
"I think what has happened is, when they came back into office, they resurrected the same failed policies of the Obama administration in connection with trying to welcome Iran back into the international order, under the hope that Iran would moderate," he said.
"That only failed because Trump undid it, we never really tried it," Maher chimed in.
The 'Real Time' host added that the US had four enemies, China, Russia, North Korea and Iran, noting fighting everybody at the same time was not possible.

Maher suggested that out of these, only two countries had the chance to be brought into the international fold, Russia and Iran, because the population of these countries might not want to be where they were at present.
He omitted China, citing the surveillance and dictatorship, while North Korea he said had "brainwashed people".
Maher continued his arguments favouring the Iran nuclear deal, which McMaster refused to concur with.
Further into the show, Maher referred to the election interference controversies in relation to Russia.
"Russia is at it again with the election interference. It seems to me like this was not that long ago, 2016, when I really had never heard about anything like that before when Trump came out and said, if you’re listening, and then George Stephanopoulos asked him, is it okay if you take information some other country?" the host said.
He then likened the Russian election interference to the virus that escaped from a lab, saying it "is just here with us now because not only is Russia doing it, China’s doing it, Iran is doing it.”
"It’s funny, Iran is for Kamala, and Russia is for [Trump]. So, maybe they just cancel each other out," Maher added with a laugh.
Bill Maher's remark 'Iran is for' Kamala Harris sparks backlash against VP
Netizens called out Kamala Harris on Facebook, claiming she was too weak to lead the US among nations like Iran.
"All the enemies of the United States are for Kamala. They smell weakness in her," a user wrote.
"All countries are for Kamala! Weak no experience. Look at last 3 years, wars and unrest. She is such a joyful person with no common sense or solid policies," another remarked.
"Yea because she's weak and will give them what they want," added a third user.
"Of course they are they will walk all over her she’s dangerous," read a fourth response.
"Another puppet to lead our country, it is up to us to not let it happen," someone else chimed in.
"More proof that our greatest enemy threats are within, not abroad," an individual wrote.
