Billy Joel lauds Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Miami concert with sweet post featuring his daughters

MIAMI, FLORIDA: Legendary musician Billy Joel is making headlines alongside pop icon Taylor Swift after attending her Eras Tour concert in Miami with his family.

Not only did he share memorable moments from the night on his Instagram, but he also took the opportunity to praise Swift for surpassing his own concert attendance record at the event. 

Joel celebrated Swift's achievements while enjoying the performance with his wife, Alexis Roderick, and their two young daughters, Della Rose, 9, and Remy Anne, 6.

In a carousel post shared on Monday, October 21, 75-year-old Billy Joel was spotted attending Taylor Swift's concert in Miami.

The post features two images: the first shows Joel with his wife, Alexis Roderick, and their daughters, all smiling at the camera from their seats at the concert. Notably, the family sat alongside Swift's mother, Andrea.

The second image captures a backstage moment with Joel, Roderick, and Swift, where Joel is wearing a black t-shirt that reads, "It's me, Hi I'm the dad, it's me."

The carousel was accompanied by a caption in which Joel revealed that Swift had broken a record he previously held for concert attendance at the Hard Rock Stadium.

He wrote, "Our family attended the Taylor Swift concert at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami where Billy Joel/Elton John’s ‘Face to Face’ concert previously held the seating record." 

He continued, "Taylor’s second concert at Hard Rock Miami set a new record and ushered in a new era at Hard Rock Stadium. We were so happy to be a part of this record-breaking concert!" 

Joel concluded by mentioning Swift’s mother, saying, "Plus, we got to celebrate with her mama❤️ Celebrating someone’s success does not negate your own. She is showing our girls all that is possible. Onward and upward #swifties."

In addition to Della and Remy, Joel has another daughter Alexa, 38, whom he shares with ex Christie Brinkley.
