LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Billy Ray Cyrus has reportedly grown self-conscious about his changed vocals which have become a point of insecurity.

Despite his hesitation, the singer has continued to perform, even in challenging situations which included moments like his set at President Donald Trump’s inaugural celebrations.

Billy Ray Cyrus showed 'vulnerability' during Donald Trump's inaugural performance

The singer performed 'Achy Breaky Heart' and his hit collaboration with Lil Nas X, 'Old Town Road', despite technical difficulties.

At one point, he looked backstage for help, saying, "Check? Is anybody awake? Y'all want me to sing more, or you want me to just get the hell off the stage?"

"His voice has changed, and he's been really insecure about it," an insider told People

Despite the insecurity, Billy Ray Cyrus went ahead and put himself in a vulnerable situation.

"[He was] going out and stepping out on stage with his voice, putting himself in a vulnerable situation and showing the world that his voice has changed," added the insider.

"I wouldn’t have missed the honor of playing this event whether my microphone, guitar, and monitors worked or not. I was there because President Donald J Trump invited me." He added, "We had a blast. That’s called rock n roll!"

He added, "I had a ball at the Liberty Ball last night and I’ve learned through all these years when the producer says, 'You’re on,' you go entertain the folks even if the equipment goes to hell. I was there for the people and we had a blast. That’s called rock n roll!!!"

Billy Ray then doubled down on his performance again in an Instagram post on January 22, while keeping comments of the post disabled.
