LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Trace Cyrus called out his father Billy Ray Cyrus for missing his maternal grandmother's funeral back in 2020 and attending a fashion show instead.

The 36-year-old was talking about Tish Cyrus’ mother, Loretta Finley, who died five years ago, nearly two years before Tish and Billy Ray got divorced, the New York Post reported.

Taking to Instagram, Trace wrote on Tuesday, June 10, “This man is so hungry for fame it’s pathetic. He really flew to Italy for a fashion show but wouldn’t come to LA for Mammie’s funeral while he was still married to my mom.”

Trace Cyrus calls dad Billy Ray Cyrus an ‘evil person’

“Even after his daughter got him a 60K private jet like he demanded, then he still didn’t come even after the plane was paid for,” the musician claimed.

He told his father, “You’re the lamest man to ever walk planet earth. Honestly embarrassed to ever have considered you my idol.”

“The best thing to come from your downfall is it made me go into beast mode. I refuse to be a washed-up, delusional, evil person when I’m old like you,” Trace added.

The brother of Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus also attacked his famous dad on Instagram Stories.

Trace Cyrus says ‘there’s nothing left to learn from’ Billy Ray Cyrus

Targeting his long hair, he said, “Also, why does he think that homeless hairstyle looks good? So weird.”

When an Instagram user asked him, “Seems like a cry for help from a son that desperately needs attention from his father,” he replied, “No, I’m past the point of even caring if I ever speak to him again.”

“I’ve surpassed him in every metric as a man on this planet. There’s nothing left to learn from him except his mistakes. I had hope at one point, but I’m convinced he’s finally a lost cause,” Trace noted.

Trace’s biological father is Tish’s former husband Baxter Neal Helson. But he and his sister Brandi Cyrus were adopted by Billy Ray when he got married to their mother in 1993.

This was not the first time Trace had publicly slammed his father.

After the 63-year-old singer performed for President Donald Trump’s inauguration, he said, “The day you adopted me was the happiest day of my life. Sadly the man that I wanted so desperately to be just like I barely recognize now. It seems this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone but you.”

“Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you’ve pushed all of us away. Noah desperately has wanted you to be a part of her life and you haven’t even been there for her. That’s your baby girl. She deserves better,” Trace added in a social media post.
