Blake Lively claims Justin Baldoni made other actresses ‘uncomfortable’ but lawyer calls it ‘hearsay’

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Blake Lively’s latest legal filing accusing 'It Ends With Us' co-star Justin Baldoni of making other actresses feel "uncomfortable" on set has sparked a fiery response from Baldoni’s legal team, who are calling the allegations "hearsay."
In her amended 141-page complaint, filed late Tuesday, February 18, in New York federal court, Lively asserts that two unnamed actresses are ready to testify about their experiences with Baldoni that made them feel "uncomfortable" while filming.
Amended complaint from Blake Lively adds new evidence, witnesses, corroboration of harassment
The filing also claims that Blake Lively’s initial allegations of harassment, retaliation, and emotional distress are now supported by new evidence, including previously undisclosed communications with Sony, Wayfarer Studios, and additional witnesses.
Lively’s attorneys, Esra Hudson, and Mike Gottlieb, argued in a statement to Fox News Digital, “Ms Lively has filed an amended complaint today that provides significant additional evidence and corroboration of her original claims."

They emphasized that this new evidence includes “contemporaneous evidence that Ms Lively was not alone in raising allegations of on-set misconduct more than a year before the film was edited.”
The amended complaint also claims that other women who were allegedly made uncomfortable on set, including the two actresses named in the filing, feared the public backlash they might face if they spoke out.
"The amended complaint details the corroboration that backs up Blake’s original sexual harassment and retaliation concerns, including that (1) Justin Baldoni and Jamey Heath made other women uncomfortable on set; and (2) other women confided in Blake about their discomfort and fear of coming forward, and their concern about the current public vitriol," the spokesperson remarked.
According to Lively's legal team, some witnesses have been “threatened not just with lawsuits, but physical violence, including threats against witnesses’ families.”
They added, "This culture of fear, intimidation, harassment, and threats is the predictable result of an incessant digital campaign to turn social media sentiment as dark and negative as is humanly possible."
Justin Baldoni’s attorney dismisses new claims as 'hearsay'
However, Justin Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, swiftly dismissed these new claims. In a statement to Fox News Digital, he described the allegations as “hearsay,” asserting that Lively’s amended complaint lacks credibility.
"Our clients have been transparent in providing receipts, real-time documents and video showing a completely different story than what has been manipulated and cherry-picked to the media," Freedman said.

He further criticized the amended filing, stating, “Her underwhelming amended complaint is filled with unsubstantial hearsay of unnamed persons who are clearly no longer willing to come forward or publicly support her claims.”
Freedman also promised that upcoming depositions would "reveal shocking details about the depth to which the defendants have sunk in their unending efforts to ‘bury,’ ‘ruin,’ and ‘destroy’ Ms Lively and her family.”
In addition to the harassment claims, the amended complaint introduces a new defamation accusation against Baldoni, alleging that he and his team have spread false statements about Lively.

According to Lively’s legal team, the harassment campaign extended beyond her, targeting "numerous innocent bystanders" who tried to support the women involved.
"Two years after Ms Lively and others made sexual harassment complaints against Baldoni and Heath, Wayfarer finally launched an ‘investigation’ into itself. What they have put together is a farce, not an investigation," Lively’s spokesperson said.
As the legal battle continues, the spotlight remains on the ongoing tension between Lively’s camp and Baldoni’s defense, with both sides preparing for further legal proceedings in the coming weeks.
Lively’s team has stated they will move forward with discovery, which they believe will reveal additional evidence of misconduct and retaliation by Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios.
The case remains ongoing, and it is expected that further details will emerge as the legal process unfolds.
Justin Baldoni’s lawyer receives praise for his response to Blake Lively’s accusations
Bryan Freedman, the attorney representing Justin Baldoni, has garnered significant attention and praise online following his strong dismissal of Blake Lively's amended complaint.
In response to Lively's allegations, which include claims of on-set misconduct involving Baldoni and other actresses, Freedman labeled the accusations as "underwhelming" and "hearsay."

"Bryan is right. When Blake says other castmates told her they felt uncomfortable, etc. this is just hearsay which is inadmissible in court. Her claims only have validity if these women provide first account witness testimony or depositions. I doubt they will," said one.
