NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Blake Lively may portray herself as just another Hollywood actress, but a resurfaced interview indicates that once she gets a role, she enjoys being involved.
Lively openly admits in a resurfaced 2022 video, obtained by TMZ, where she talked about riling executives with requests to gain creative control of her movies amid the ongoing 'It Ends With Us' drama.

Blake Lively reveals producers 'resented her' for taking creative control of projects
Amid rumors of conflict with her 'It Ends with Us' co-star and director Justin Baldoni, the 'Gossip Girl' alum has once again admitted that she took up greater creative control over her productions after landing a job.
Given their alleged on-set power struggle and ongoing legal issues, the rediscovered clip — taken from Lively's 2022 presentation at the Forbes Power Women's Summit — has now been receiving new attention.
The 37-year-old actress — who is now involved in a legal battle with Baldoni due to sexual harassment claims and a power struggle on set — has previously said that she felt "unfulfilled" by acting alone and that she wanted to be "part of the storytelling."

"I also knew that wasn't fulfilling for me, that I wanted to be part of the storytelling, be a part of the narrative, whether that be in the writing, the costume design, creating the character," Lively said during her 2022 interview.
Lively acknowledged that she frequently played down her artistic aspirations in early discussions, delaying making her voice heard until she was on set.
"When I was in the meetings, I was like, I’m just here to be the actor and I’m here to get the gig. I wouldn’t reveal that I needed to have authorship to feel fulfilled," she explained.
She added, "And I feel for them, it felt like a rug pull, and you’re trying to insert yourself into something we didn’t hire you to do."

The actress also admitted that while some producers, writers, and directors were open to her suggestions, others "resented" it.
"Sometimes I had the director, writers, producers who would welcome that once I was able to offer that, and sometimes I had people who resented that, because they just hired me to be the actor," Lively said.
She also considered the fine line that separates honoring the current team's vision from exerting herself artistically.
"It’s just as important to say, ‘I’m standing up for this, and I believe in this, and that’s why I’m not being difficult,’ and there’s other moments to say, ‘Am I being the a**hole here in the room? What is happening here?’" Lively said.
Netizens slam Blake Lively for admitting to 'taking over productions'
Online users flocked to X (formerly Twitter) to attack the 'Gossip Girl' alum for admitting to taking creative control of her movies. One wrote, "That's very suggestive, given the case she's involved in."
A second user added, "My heart goes out to Justin Baldoni and his family. I hope that Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively both get cancelled.. Can't imagine anyone else wanting to work with them much after all this."
"I see Blake Lively is talking on herself. Kind of like how she tried to stage a cool takeover of Justin Baldoni’s movie with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and Taylor Swift," wrote a third user.
One posted, "Blake Lively might seem like just a charming actress, but once she lands a role, she takes charge! She admitted in a resurfaced 2022 interview at the Forbes Power Women's Summit that she has a habit of pulling the rug from under directors, writers, and producers."

One said, "Too bad Justin Baldoni didn’t see this! Blake Lively explains how she loves to take control of movies! From wardrobe to script writing, she explains how JUST being a pretty actor isn’t fulfilling enough!"
"Oooooh, this plays directly into Baldonis lawsuit. The interview reveals she tried it before…it’s a pattern," added another.
Another seethed, "What is delusional about this is she thinks this behaviour represents herself as a strong woman standing up for herself & as being more than just a pretty face in the movie industry. It's not. Lying, bullying, deception, manipulating & extorting is not the sign of a strong woman."
