ADA, OKLAHOMA: Blake Shelton made headlines this week as he returned to his hometown of Ada, Oklahoma. But he didn’t just visit—he brought a special gift of music to the local high school students.

This heartfelt trip held extra significance for the 'Austin' hitmaker, as he revisited the place where his journey began, sharing his passion and inspiring the next generation. Blake Shelton joins hands with Music Will to donate musical instruments to his high school

Blake Shelton started his address to the students with a brief reflection on his own graduation year, 1994.

He said, "I know you guys have never even heard of that time period, and saying it was pretty cool to be back."

"When I heard about this thing that we are doing here today and it’s for you guys I wanted to just come up and put my head in and be a part of this because I think this is a really cool opportunity for any of you students out here who are interested in music, whether it’s a career path for you and something you want to pursue or you just want to learn how to play the guitar and sit around," shared the singer-songwriter. 

He added, "Some day when you are older, coming home from work, you are going to love the idea of walking into your house and just grabbing an acoustic guitar and sitting around and playing. It’s the coolest thing in the world. It really is. Thank you to Music Will for what we are doing here today. It’s good to see you all."

Shelton also praised the school for supporting teachers who will instruct the students on how to play the instruments, calling it "a really neat idea and a cool opportunity."

The video was accompanied by a caption, "Honored to have teamed up with @musicwill and go back to my hometown and high school to surprise the kids with some brand new instruments and equipment. Music is so important and it's really special getting to be part of this and help give the kids this opportunity. Thank you MusicWill!!! Go Ada!!!"
