TULUM, MEXICO: Jennifer Aniston has reportedly shown maturity following the news that her ex-husband, Justin Theroux, has tied the knot with actress Nicole Brydon Bloom.

According to an insider, Aniston was among the first to reach out to Theroux after the news broke, as per Daily Mail.

Jennifer Aniston 'first to congratulate' ex Justin Theroux on his wedding

“Jennifer was one of the first ones to congratulate Justin on getting married,” a source revealed to Daily Mail. “Yes, it took her by surprise, but they have maintained a close friendship, and she is happy for him that he has found true love.”

Theroux, 53, and Bloom, 30, wed in an intimate beach ceremony in Tulum, Mexico, over the weekend, following their engagement in August 2024.

Like many others, Aniston reportedly learned about the wedding through media reports.

While the news stirred some nostalgia, Aniston’s response was nothing short of supportive.

“She cannot help but be somewhat reminiscent of what they had together,” the source admitted. “But she knows what a good man he is, and she thinks that his new wife is wonderful. This gives Jennifer hope that her Prince Charming is out there.”

A second insider emphasized that Aniston isn’t dwelling on the past or feeling sorry for herself. “Nobody should feel bad for Jen, she’s fine. She’s loved and lost like the rest of us, but her life is still pretty good. If she ends up with anyone down the line, that would be beautiful.”

This mature outlook is nothing new for the 'Friends' star, who has maintained amicable relationships with her exes, including her first husband, Brad Pitt.

The second insider reflected on this, stating, “Whether it is Brad or Justin, she had her chance with them and loved it while it was great. Now she is on a different path as they are in their lives.”

“She only feels joy for her exes' successes,” the source added. “She's old enough to not cry over spilled milk. If anything is on her mind about Justin it would be, let Justin be happy.”

Justin Theroux's cherishes his 'friendship' Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux famously wed in a cozy backyard ceremony at their Los Angeles home in 2015.

Just two years later, they announced their split but emphasized their intention to maintain a close friendship.

Their joint statement at the time read, “We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.” True to their word, the pair has reportedly kept their bond alive over the years, even celebrating ‘Friendsgiving’ together and vacationing as friends.

Theroux has also spoken openly about his deep respect for Aniston. In a September 2024 interview, just a month after announcing his engagement to Bloom, Theroux reflected on their evolving relationship.

"It was heartbreaking, only in the sense that the friendship would not be the same, as far as just the day to day. The friendship is shifting and changing, you know, so that part is something that we’re both very proud of,” he shared, according to People.

“I’m sincere when I say that I cherish our friendship. We cannot be together and still bring each other joy and friendship. Also, she makes me laugh very, very hard. She's a hilarious person. It would be a loss if we weren't in contact, for me personally. And I'd like to think the same for her.”

Meanwhile, Bloom, who recently portrayed Caroline Stuyvesant in 'The Gilded Age', has been linked to Theroux since February 2023.

Their relationship blossomed publicly, with appearances at events like a Netflix gathering at New York’s social club Zero Bond.

By December 2023, they confirmed their romance with a sweet Instagram selfie at Bloom’s twin sister's wedding.

As for Aniston, her love life has remained quiet since her split from Theroux. In a January interview with Allure, she reflected on this phase of her life with optimism, “I am living my fifties with positivity and gratitude.”
