Bob Saget’s widow Kelly Rizzo says he wouldn’t be ‘thrilled’ but would approve of her dating Breckin Meyer

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bob Saget's widow Kelly Rizzo has recently opened up about finding love with actor Breckin Meyer following the 'Full House' comedian's death in January 2022.

Although Rizzo has since moved "forward" with a new man, whom she went public with in February at the 2024 Grammys viewing party, Saget's influence on Rizzo's relationship with Meyer remains.

Rizzo said Meyer is probably the only man "Bob would be OK" with her dating.

In a conversation with E! News, Eat Travel Rock founder Kelly Rizzo, 45, talked about how her relationship with boyfriend Breckin Meyer is influenced by her marriage to late Bob Saget.

Rizzo gushed about the 'Clueless' star, saying he was always there for her when she needed to grieve Saget, who died away unexpectedly from a head injury in January 2022.

"Since day one, that's just been such a big thing with [Breckin]. He knew what I went through, and he appreciated it and accepted it—and always likes to talk about Bob," Rizzo told E! News.

Rizzo added that it is reassuring to discuss her late spouse with Meyer, who she claimed asked questions about Saget.

"It's never like, 'Oh, I don't wanna mention Bob. I don't want Breckin to feel bad about that'. He's just always been so kind about it. It's been really special. It's really nice that I've been able to move forward with him," she said.

Rizzo, who has been dating Meyer since February 2024, believes Meyer is one of the few individuals "Bob would be okay" with being in Rizzo's life.

She joked, "He's like, ‘Alright, I'm not thrilled about any of this, but it's got to be somebody, let it be Breckin'."

Rizzo claimed she still treasures "all the wonderful parts of Bob," including his children from his first marriage to Sherri Kramer: Aubrey, 37, Lara, 35, and Jennifer, 31.

Rizzo previously revealed that Saget's daughters approved of her dating again following their father's untimely death.

"It’s meant everything," Rizzo said of the girls' gesture to Fox News Digital in December 2023.

Kelly Rizzo says she's not in a rush to remarry 

Kelly Rizzo gushed about boyfriend Breckin Meyer.

"He's just been so supportive," Rizzo told the outlet, before adding, "It's pretty impossible not to like Breckin. He's met Bob's girls multiple times. We've had dinners together. They adore him. He adores them. It's been really, really nice. They've kind of welcomed him."

Regarding the future of the couple, Rizzo added that although she is not in a rush to remarry, it is "definitely something [she's] open to".

She noted, however, that she is happy to live in the present moment because, as she puts it, "I truly learned you can't plan life. Life has other plans."

Rizzo and Meyer went public in February, during a 2024 Grammy Awards viewing party. The 'Clueless' star and Rizzo made their red carpet debut on February 4 at a Janie's Fund charity event.

"It took a while to get to the point where I’m like, ‘OK, I think he’d be happy with it,’" Rizzo told E! News at the time.

'Comfort Food' podcast host Kelly Rizzo told PEOPLE in October 2023 how she honors Bob Saget in her day-to-day activities.

"I think that for as long as I live, I'm always going to want to be celebrating Bob and talking about Bob. It makes me happy to talk about him," Rizzo said at the time.

"And obviously, you have to live your life and you have to move forward. You have to go about doing your thing."

However, Rizzo considered it "definitely a mission of mine" to carry on "being the person who helps to support his legacy and keep his legacy alive".

"Not that I have to work hard to keep his legacy alive. It does that. But just anything I can do to just keep sharing the Bob love is what's important to me," she said.
