NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Body language expert Judi James shared her opinion on the awkward kiss between Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump on the stage of the former president's Madison Square Garden rally on Sunday, October 27, with the Mirror.

After staying away from the spotlight since leaving the White House, Melania, 54, has recently taken to making public appearances in support of her 78-year-old husband's third attempt to win the Oval Office.

She gave a five-minute speech about the GOP presidential nominee's vision for the United States, before introducing him on stage as the "next commander-in-chief" on Sunday evening. However, for many attendees, the awkward kiss shared by the couple at the time became the most memorable part of their then interaction as the lack of chemistry was clearly noticeable.

Judy James blamed Donald Trump's "mixed signaling" while approaching his wife Melania for the awkwardness that was felt between the couple on stage and their lack of chemistry during the kiss.

"The kiss itself is lacking in synchronicity, partly because of Trump's mixed signaling as he approaches his wife. He throws both his arms out with his fingers splayed in a gesture that looks less like an intent to hug and more like a man wanting to register and display his success to his wife," she explained.

"Her hands go out, but her elbows remain tucked inward, which looks like a truncated empty embrace. These gestures look similar but they are not synchronized. Trump's arms begin to drop as he gets closer, but Melania is now offering some form of a hug. In the end, her hands hold his waist and he places his hands on her shoulders, allowing him to steer the kiss," James continued.

"Both pucker and raise their chins for a fashionista-style air kiss. But there are micro-gestures of actual affection within the kiss as she adds a small nuzzling, and he appears to turn his head in the air in a pleasure display before they kiss on the other cheek too," James said, before adding, "Trump's second cheek kiss is a big smacker, showing how pleased he is of Melania and himself."

Judi James claims Melania is used for bringing class to Trump rally

The body language expert also shared her opinion on Melania Trump's speech at the Madison Square Garden rally, claiming that the former first lady has become "used to" shoulder the responsibility of bringing in "intellect" and "class" to a MAGA event.

Melania used "tricks and techniques favored by rock stars to rev the audience up" while shedding her "daunted and rigid" onstage persona, according to James.

"Her script suggests she is now being used to fill the crater-size hole of intellect, class, and taste that is left thanks to the Trump/Hulk Hogan-style lineup of the rest of the rally," she added.
