‘Both are very immature’: Internet weighs in as Lil Tay asks fans not to compare her to ‘frauds’ like JoJo Siwa

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Internet has weighed in on the latest music beef between Lil Tay and 'Dance Moms' alum, JoJo Siwa.

Tay took a jibe at Siwa after comparisons were made online to her and 20-year-old Siwa's music  Tay slamed Siwa as a "fraud" for purchasing her songs.

What did Lil Tay say? 

The controversial rapper took to X after one user jokingly called her Siwa while sharing a clip from her 'Sucker 4 Green' music video.

Tay obviously didn't take the comparison too kindly. She told her fans that she doesn't want to ever hear their names in the same sentence again because she doesn't pay other people to write her music.

She wrote on X, "Wish I didn’t just find out who that is, I wrote SUCKER 4 GREEN myself. Didn’t buy the song or hire a ghostwriter. Please don’t mention me & her in the same sentence."

Another user wrote on the same tweet, saying how he felt that the joke actually was more about how Tay did the rebranding the right way, unlike JoJo.

Tay replied saying, that she knows it, and still isn't happy about their names being linked. She added that she takes her music "very seriously" unlike JoJo whom she labeled as a "fraud". 

She added, "I’m agreeing with him. I’m just stating I didn’t know who she was, but after some research, I found out buys her songs, and doesn’t write her music and I take my music very seriously and don’t want to be compared to frauds."

JoJo released her new song 'Karma', complete with a music video last week and admitted to TMZ that the song got pitched to her, which she argued is normal operating procedure in Hollywood.

On the other hand, 'SUCKER 4 GREEN' came out about six months ago and has about 7.8 million views on YouTube while Jojo's track's had up to 20 million views in just over a week.

Internet weighs in on Tay vs Siwa

Social media users blasted both Siwa and Tay for their immaturity.

A Facebook user said, "As much as I don't care for neither Jo Jo has lil tay who?? Not realizing no one gives a care about her!" 

Another user said, "Both of them need to have their internet taken away. Lil Tay is even worse. Faking her death for attention." 

A user said, "I didn't confuse the two. They both are very immature. Ones too busy faking her own death for attention ( Lil Tay) the other one is naming her future kids Freddie, Eddie and Teddie for attention lol(JoJo). Absolutely a shame I knew these things lol." 

A user wrote, "Both irrelevant."

Another user wrote, "Why do women knock each other down."

A user said, "I am sic of hearing about them."
