VENICE, ITALY: Brad Pitt and George Clooney celebrated joyfully after receiving a standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival.

The two A-listers attended the event for the world premiere of their movie 'Wolfs' on Sunday night, September 1. The film is set to hit limited theaters on September 20 before streaming on Apple TV+ starting September 27.



 

As the film directed by Jon Watts ended, the audience erupted in cheers and gave the cast a four-minute standing ovation, as reported by Variety.

The cheers prompted Brad Pitt and George Clooney to rise from their seats and dance to Sade’s song 'Smooth Operator.'

The actors then hugged each other before the ‘Ticket to Paradise’ star turned to his wife, Amal, and shared a kiss. The ‘Fight Club’ actor and Clooney also reportedly mingled with other attendees.

Videos of Brad Pitt and George Clooney at the event have since gone viral on the internet. An X user tweeted, “Whoa, that's quite a scene! I've never seen a standing ovation go on for nearly 5 minutes. The energy must have been electric... and a bit surreal with Brad dancing to Sade, lol!”



 

The second user commented, “Aww, that's so sweet! I'm glad to see two Hollywood legends showing some love and having a good time together. The video looks hilarious!”

Brad Pitt and George Clooney talk about their growing age

This came after Brad Pitt and George Clooney, who have worked together years after starring alongside in 2008’s ‘Burn After Reading’, sat down for an interview with GQ.

During the interview, the conversation turned to aging as Clooney said, “When I turned 60, my wife and I had a nice dinner. We were talking and I said, ‘Look, I’m 60.' Now I’m 63. And I said, 'So here’s the thing, I can still play basketball with the boys. I can still hang out, do a lot of s**t. Physically, I’m in pretty good shape still.’"

"But it doesn’t matter how many granola bars I eat. In 20 years, I’m 80. And that’s a different number," he added.

To which Pitt added, “You start to understand this idea of mortality and that it is something we all have to deal with. You just become more aware of it.”
