George Clooney calls 'pretty boy' Brad Pitt a 'brutal prankster' who ‘doesn’t look good’ anymore

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: George Clooney is back in the director’s chair for his new film 'The Boys in the Boat', but he may be retiring soon to focus on his family.

He also revealed some details about his upcoming reunion with Brad Pitt, who he called a “brutal prankster” who doesn't look good anymore. 

George Clooney pokes fun at wife Amal’s cooking skills

In an interview with Extra, Clooney joked about his holiday plans with his wife Amal and their six-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella.

He said, “I cook. My wife, who is a brilliant lawyer — she’s one of the great advocates in the world, she takes on ISIS — but I better be doing the cooking or we will all die.”

He also said that his children have no concept of his fame and that they once asked him, “Papa, what’s famous?”

George Clooney may quit directing to spend more time with his family

Clooney, who is 62, said he may not direct much anymore as it takes too much time away from his family.

He said, “I probably won’t be directing much anymore because I’m 62 and I got young kids and it takes a year and a half or two years to direct. And you’d be on the road too much, so I’m not sure I’ll be doing that much more, but I like it all.”

He said that his latest film 'The Boys in the Boat' which is based on a true story of a rowing team that competed against Hitler’s team in the 1936 Olympics, is a “Christmastime movie” that he hopes will send a unifying message.

He said, “I love the idea that we are better when we are together. These kids needed it… My mother and father are Depression-era kids and they all had to work together to survive, and that’s portrayed in this story.”

Clooney also talked about his upcoming project with Brad Pitt, called 'Wolves', which will mark their first on-screen collaboration in 15 years.

He teased his friend, saying, “Pretty boy Pitt. I don’t know if you’ve seen him up close lately. He doesn’t look so good. But with makeup and visual effects, we’re able to save him.”

He also said that Pitt is a “brutal prankster” who “cuts to the bone” with his jokes.

He said, “Well, because my pranks, they could take forever. But his pranks hurt. Like, I can’t go home to my hometown because he’s done something to me. They’re dirty, dirty tricks.”

Clooney quipped that his dream that he has not yet done is 'Dancing with the Stars', but he was kidding. He said that he is happy with his career and his life, and that he wants people to see his new film which is out on December 25.
