Brad Pitt using GF Ines de Ramon to broker 'peace deal' with Angelina Jolie to reconnect with children
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a desperate bid to reconnect with his estranged children, Brad Pitt is reportedly turning to his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, to help broker a "peace deal" amid his ongoing war with former wife Angelina Jolie.
The 'Spy Game' star has faced a heartbreaking estrangement from his kids, who have sided with their mother in the aftermath of their tumultuous divorce in 2016.
Pitt, 60, has been dating 31-year-old Ines de Ramon since 2022, and the Hollywood heartthrob finds himself "happily in love," but admits, "the only dark spot in his life is his relationship with his kids," revealed an insider. Despite his numerous attempts to repair the relationship, the situation has only worsened.
"He's tried everything to fix things, and nothing has worked. That's why he's turned to Ines," said the source. However, Pitt is battling on, believing that de Ramon might be the key to mending his fractured family ties. "It's a long shot, but he seems to think she can work some magic," per Radar Online.
Brad Pitt's relationship with his six kids has 'gotten worse'
The once madly-in-love pair split in 2016 and later Angelina Jolie, 49, accused Brad Pitt of assaulting their oldest son, Maddox, 23, during a private flight. Although he was cleared of all allegations of abuse by both the FBI and the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, the fallout has left a lasting impact.
According to sources, the relationship with his six children— Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne —has "gotten worse." As the insider candidly noted, "They've all shut him out."
Recent signs suggest that a reunion may not be in the cards anytime soon. Vivienne has notably dropped Pitt's surname from her producer credit for the Broadway musical 'The Outsiders', and Shiloh has legally removed "Pitt" from her name.
While the 'Flight Club' star has the legal option to enforce visitation rights for his underage twins, he prefers not to take that route, wanting to reconnect with his kids on their own terms. "He wants to see them and the rest of his kids because they choose to see him, not because the courts order them to see him," claimed the source.
Brad Pitt believes Ines de Ramon could be the key to winning back his kids
Despite these setbacks, Brad Pitt remains "hopeful" for a resolution. "He isn't ready to give up, and that's where Ines comes in. He feels like she's his ace in the hole because he has no doubt the kids, when they finally meet her, will see what a gem she is. She's a very warm and diplomatic person, and Brad is convinced she's got a real shot at convincing his kids – and even Angie – to show him some mercy."
While Pitt's rep has denied that he intends to use de Ramon as a mediator, rumors of their commitment to each other are swirling.
