Nicole Eggert receives support from fans and stars after she shaves hair on camera amid cancer diagnosis
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Nicole Eggert, the 'Baywatch alum', who has been diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in December 2023 shaved her hair in an Instagram video on Thursday, 14 March.
Eggert who has been bravely sharing updates on her health journey has won support from fans and stars alike, who are sending prayers and love to her.

In the video, Eggert’s 12-year-old daughter Keegan is seen assisting her in shaving her head.
The video, set to the Beastie Boys’ song 'Fight For Your Right', also included a quote from author Madeleine Eames which says, "Maybe healing involves not so much changing ourselves but allowing ourselves to be who we are."

Eggert first revealed her diagnosis earlier this year, recalling how she discovered a lump in her left breast during a self-examination in October, 2023.
She told People in January, “It really was throbbing and hurting. I immediately went to my general practitioner and she told me I had to immediately go get it looked at.”
Nicole Eggert waited a month after which her test returned positive
After a month-long wait for a mammogram and three subsequent biopsies, Eggert's reports confirmed the presence of cancer.
Eggert admitted to the publication that her journey has been challenging, but she’s been trying to stay positive.
She said, “This journey’s been rough for me. This hasn’t been a breezy sale through life. I always read inspirational quotes and corny stuff, but it gets me through.”

Nicole Eggert's health journey has been financially difficult too
In addition to her health struggles, Eggert, a single mother to Keegan and 25-year-old Dilyn, has faced financial difficulties, leading to the creation of a GoFundMe page to help cover her treatment costs.

She expressed her desire to start a non-profit for other single parents in similar situations, saying, “I absolutely 100% want to start a non-profit for other single parents such as myself, who don’t have any family, don’t have anybody to turn to.”
Nicole Eggert's hair has started falling out
Eggert has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support she has received since her announcement.
She has been regularly updating her fans on social media about her condition and treatment progress.
In a March 6 video on Instagram, she said, “It is my week before my next treatment, so I’m feeling really good, I’m feeling really strong. I feel as normal as can be, except that my hair has started falling out now.”

She also posted a black and white photograph on Wednesday, March 14, captioning it, "Some days she is a warrior. Some days she is a broken mess. Most days, she is a bit of both. But everyday she is there. Standing. Fighting. Trying. -Thinkology."

Eggert has received support from stars and fans alike after she posted the video of her shaving her head.
